This glasses gave me so much joy, to take pictures or videos during cycling. Something that I can never do, as its considered unsafe. All I need to do is to say it in words. When cycling solo, music is your best buddy. Quality is surprisingly good. Music will drain the battery fast. You'll run out of battery within 4 hours. Lens is a bit darker, and I'm looking forward to buy the low light lens, when its available. Meta AI is lacking collection (per cycling) photos management. You can only group photos when you enable auto capture. Without it, you can't group them together, making photo management hard. Read more

Got these to replace my Instant Go 3 on my hat for USPSA competitions, wearing a headphone for listening to music and obviously for the new ai features. I look forward for 4 things. Good video camera, talk to ai, listen to music and the convenience. But, I found that out of the 4 things, the one thing I look forward the most is a good video camera and it is not up to par. Here are the cons: 1. Video camera is not up to par vs Go 3, it jitters for no reason during recording like someone punches you in the face. There are no way to turn off stabilization and it jumps all over the place. 2. The recoding sounds are horrible, it keeps going in and out on loud sounds and there are no way to turn them off 3. Not enough video camera settings, no landscape only portrait, no setting to turn off stabilization 4. Cannot listen to music while recording 5. Definitely heavier than regular Oakley M-Frames, that is to be expected 6. The case should have a tracker build in, if you lose it, you don't even know it I used it heavily for the last 2 weeks since it released and I have tried every possible way to fix these issues. Amazon won't let me post my uspsa video, so you can either take my word for it or check out my ig at hyasuma_pew The Pros: 1) Easy to set up 2) Upload directly to your phone gallery 3) Sound is amazing for both music and phone calls 4) Makes recording/image and sharing things a breeze 5) Talking to Meta AI is pretty cool Overall, I like the product and wanted to give a 5 star but with the video jitter issue, I can't justify all the pro outweighing this specific issue. I am planning on giving a bit more time to see if the jitter can be fixed, if not, I might end up returning it and look for alternatives like Bleeq. Read more

The Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses feel like a big step forward in smart eyewear. The wrap around lenses offer excellent clarity and sun protection, and the fit feels secure and performance focused. The camera is a standout, letting you capture sharp 3K video completely hands free from your own point of view, which is especially cool for me when fishing where stopping or having a free hand isn’t an option. The ai adds a lot of cool features too. The open ear audio is also better than expected, it stays clear even in windy conditions, and you can still hear what’s going on around you, which is important for outdoor sports where background noise can be quite loud. Battery life is solid too, lasting through long days, with the charging case adding plenty of extra power on the go. That said, there are a couple of things worth noting. Amazon Music connectivity can be hit or miss. Sometimes it works smoothly, and other times it struggles to connect or play consistently, which can be frustrating if that’s your main music service. Another important detail is the recording indicator light. Whenever you take a photo or video, a visible light turns on and it cannot be disabled. While this is clearly done for privacy reasons, it means there’s no way to record discreetly, which may matter to some users. Overall, the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses are powerful, innovative, and genuinely useful for content capture. They aren’t perfect, but if you’re looking for cutting edge sports tech and can live with a few connectivity quirks and the always on recording light, they’re an exciting and piece of gear, plus they just look cool too. Good value and not too heavy either. Read more
