These are lightweight gym shorts, made to keep you cool. The material they are made of are designed to wick moisture away and quickly dry, making them a good choice to wear for your sweatier workouts. These shorts have good stretch to them, but I would size up for a roomier, more comfortable fit. The color is nice on the shorts, after the first wash, there didn't seem to be any color fade. They have pockets, but the pockets aren't very deep, so a cell phone will stick out of them. These shorts do not have a compression liner built in underneath, so keep that in mind when doing certain workouts. These get a 4 star rating based on their look, their material and functionality, and their quick-dry capability. They do run about a half size smaller, so I would say sizing up would be a good idea. First off...these shorts come in a funny box. I wasn't prepared for that, but it's fine. The light grey color is nice. The little zipper that's at the top of the phone / key pocket is tricky, though. I couldn't get it to open and close without getting stuck. Pro tip: run a bit of lip balm or chap stick along the teeth of the zipper, and it'll run much more smoothly. I'm probably a 33" waist or so, and the medium fits great. Not too loose, and not too snug. These are really stretchy, which I like. They're also quite thin...it's one layer of very thin fabric. They have a nice trimming silhouette and look and feel just what you want in an athletic workout short -- not at all baggy, but not uncomfortably tight either. They are well tailored and fit perfectly. They are very lightweight. When I held the small product box in my hand and read the label saying they were shorts, I thought to myself the box felt too light to contain a pair of men's shorts. But indeed, they were a pair of men's short -- just extra light (but not flimsy, not poor quality). They used a strong 100% polyester fabric that is fairly slick to the touch. It feels comfortable. There are 2 side pockets, not very deep but good enough. There is no liner, so as long as you wear a brief with these shorts they'll be fine. The shorts are only 5 inches long, so these are definitely on the shorter side and work great for workouts or running. I especially like that the drawstring is extra long - no chance of it retracting into the waistband. All in all, at this price point, these are a really good pair of athletic shorts for workouts and running. Read more

I love these running shorts, especially considering the quality you get for the value. It is super comfortable with a highly flexible fabric. Also, I like it about the fact that it is a little shorter (comes to above your knees) which is exactly what I was looking for in running shorts. I got these in small and I'm 5'7" and 158 and they fit pretty well around the waist, but overall don't fit quite as well as I'd like everywhere else. The crouch seems to be a little low and the material is not very soft. It's plenty stretchy, but more of a coarse material that I don't quite like. For $15 the value is there if you just want something to workout in or some shorts you don't care about so much for yard work etc, but for another $5-10 you can get better material, better fit, and full zippered pockets. Based on price and features its a 4/5, but I'd recommending just a few more dollars to stay out of the price range. Read more

I am always on the lookout for decent workout clothes. I primarily workout on an elliptical, a rower, and bicycling. Since we live in a temperate region, the coldest it ever gets here is around 70 degrees F, so I don't like thick, heavy workout clothes. I picked up these shorts since I have had luck with runner's clothes before. The shorts are very lightweight. I always wear something under my pants, so I wasn't concerned with them not being lined. The fit was good and I liked the wider waistband since it didn't cut into my waist while working out. The pockets are deep enough to be useable and have one small, zippered pocket. Overall, they wear well and washed without issue, so I can definitely recommend these. Read more
