I am a 5'2" woman and have degeneration in my lumbar and cervical disks as well as hips and knees. I mention my height for a reason. I sit for many, many hours at a time. It has always been difficult to find a chair that I can sit in for any length of time. You can only make up so many excuses to stretch. I've been in offices with the "best" chairs. I've been in offices where we played "musical chairs", I've purchased my own chairs. Big $ or small $. I've given away more office chairs in the last few years than most people buy in their whole life. So I did my best to figure out what I am doing wrong. There is a whole calculation for finding the right chair, I guess. At least accordingly to the chair people. When I was looking for the right chair, every single one said they are the best. For the most part, I could find no actual measurements except height and width. When I found this, it has all of the measurements that you could possible consider right there to take into consideration. And most of the seats had that high front part and high back part and you sink in the middle and end up hunched over. This chair: It has a cloth seat. The material is a little rough, but not so bad. The back is mesh. The assembly was easy enough and didn't take more than about 15 minutes. I would recommend that you have someone to help you when it has to be seated in the tube. You could do it alone, depending, but easier if someone sets it and someone guides it. The height adjustment works well and the arms can stay up (AND out of your way) or they can be down and are comfortably places on average. There is not a lot of padding on the seat - so if super comfort is your thing, I may consider also ordering a pillow cushion. BUT, for me it is perfect! Because there is not a lot of padding, the hips do not swivel as much and it is more comfortable both on hips and lumbar. The seat length and "ergonomic seats" are usually my biggest problem. The seat length on this is perfect and the mesh back does not interfere with your seating. (Again - 5'2") It also does not cut off at the knee and feel like your circulation is cut off. With that being said, this is where the mesh back comes in. The ergonomic angle is just right (again, 5'2"). It sets against my lower back to support it and the back is angled so it is support but does not push you forward as others do and that allows you good posture. The height adjustment is good (again, 5'2"). Because of all of these things together, the chair is ideal. I set up a foot rest on the floor, lowered the arms, adjusted the height and I can sit with good posture while working. I purchased it approximately 3 months ago and because it is a busy time of year in my office, this chair is getting quite the test and passes! Read more
I bought this chair after having some lower back discomfort from long workdays, and itโs been noticeably more comfortable than my old one. This office chair is very easy to put together. Good quality and the weight is perfect. The seat also has very comfortable padding. It's really comfortable with good back support and fits perfectly. Like most office chairs, the height is adjustable. The arms are movable, so itโs easy to get closer to my computer desk. And I like the smooth rolling wheels to move around. Definitely worth it.
