Extra thick mat, and chair glides easily on it! Just be aware that this mat requires two people to unroll, and some heavily weighted items to (initially) weight it down. But once it flattens out, it holds its own on medium thick carpets/rugs! Read more
This is a great value. I was looking for a desk mat to protect my new rug from the roller marks of my office chair. It allows me to easily move the chair and practically invisible so that the beauty of my new rug shows through. The small spikes keep it in place and because it is thin and lies flat, I do not catch the edges of it with the tip of my shoes or toes. I have not had this mat very long so I don't know how long it will last without cracking or breaking but if, in a few years, it does break, I will buy it again. Read more
Spikes are sharp and difficult to unroll with one person, but followed directions weighing down the corners for 48 hrs and it eventually flattened out. I like the smaller size and it serve the purpose in a smaller space. Read more

The wheels of my chair sink in and dent the surface making it hard to roll. I shift between two desks and that is a big factor. Also this is about 6 inches narrower than my previous mat, so you might want to keep size in mind when choosing. Overall the mat is okay and I'll deeal with it for a while but probably will upgrade at some point. I'm a procrastinator so it might be a while. Read more

It arrived tightly rolled up and was very hard to unroll. The plastic spikes sticking out of it didn't help. Other than the sharp plastic spikes it's a soft plastic. This is day two and my wheeled office chair has already made dents in it. The wheels get stuck in the dents and make it hard to roll around. It doesn't lie flat on the rug, so it's a tripping hazard. Also I accidentally stepped on it in my bare feet, OUCH! I will check my local office supply store. At least that way I can get an idea of the quality. Read more
