I'm happy with this mat. It has a nice non-slip surface and it stays in place on top of my rug. No problems with any odor or with getting it to lay flat (it was shipped without any packaging so it may have "aired out" during shipping). Make sure you order the correct type of mat -- in my case I ordered the "flat pile" option since it's going on top of an area rug. The casters of my chair do sink in slightly over time, so if I haven't moved in a couple of hours it is a little hard to roll my chair. Like similar mats I've had like this in the past, these are NOT durable. I'm pretty easy on stuff like this and I weigh around 160 pounds. Around 6 months into use, the cracks started to be heard (soon as you roll around in your office chair you hear the pops) and seen. Once that happens, it only gets worse. At eight months, I threw it away as pieces started coming out. I bought it for the price and got what I paid for. I'm going with a throw rug next at this point because these are useless, unless you are OK with buying them twice a year. Read more
