One of the reasons I've been looking for a chair mat like this is because I work with sharp hand tools at my desk and have had them take chunks out of my wood floor when I've accidentally dropped them, and would rather replace the mat than the wood panels. This one has been doing a good job of preventing scuffing from my office chair's wheels, and looks thick enough to protect my floors from my clumsiness too, though, luckily haven't had to confirm that. The thickness is a good compromise between being protective and durable, but soft and flexible enough that it doesn't feel stiff and nonconforming. I however don't feel my wheels getting stuck or sinking into it, and hasn't been denting or rippling either. I also think the frosted look looks good. It did take a while to flatten out, even after leaving it in the sun to help it along, but that's expected, and like pretty much all vinyl mats it also has a pretty strong smell at first. I had to leave it outside for about a week before it dissipated enough, but it was mostly fine after that. In the end it does what it needs to, it just takes a little patience getting it to flatten out, but it's easy to clean, a decent value, and does a good job of protecting my floors. Read more

This chair mat does a good job protecting hardwood and tile floors from scratches and wear caused by rolling chairs. The size (36" x 48") is perfect for a desk or home office setup, and once it’s flat, it stays in place and allows the chair to roll smoothly. The clear PVC design is nice because it doesn’t distract from the look of the floor underneath. The only downside, and the reason for 4 stars, is that it took such a long time to flatten out after unrolling. It arrived tightly rolled, and the edges and corners stayed curled for quite a while before finally laying flat. It does eventually flatten, but it requires patience and some time before it looks and functions its best. Overall, it’s a solid, heavy-duty mat that does exactly what it’s supposed to do once settled. If you don’t mind waiting for it to fully flatten, it’s a good value and effective floor protector. This is a nice durable floor mat. We bought this for our sons gaming chair to protect the luxury vinyl plank flooring we just installed. This is working well and makes it easy for him to move his chair around without damaging our new flooring. Read more

Clear plastic mat for under desk chairs. This is a thick piece of plastic. I honestly ordered this to make my gamer girl happy. Her bedroom carpet makes the chair difficult to move. So I ordered this mat. It's working great. She now has freedom of movement. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The PVC mat is large enough that the rolling chair doesn’t go off the mat, even if you want to move more freely. It comes tightly rolled, so you need to unroll it and place some heavy items on the corners to help it lay flat. I also applied heat to the edges with a hair dryer, which worked very well, the mat now stays flat on the floor, with no stubborn indentations or curling. The PVC is not so thick that you might trip on it, and not so thin that it fails to protect the floor. It’s just the right thickness. The mat is transparent, though not 100% clear, it’s slightly cloudy, but still transparent enough that you can easily see the floor underneath. When you first unroll it, there is a chemical smell, but it goes away, so don’t worry about that. The mat is flexible and easy to sweep, although lint and hair do tend to stick to it a little. Overall, it’s a great mat for its intended purpose: protecting the floor from a rolling chair. I recommend it, it offers very good value for the money. Read more

It’s a nice sturdy mat that is clear so looks nice on nice floors :) it stays in one place well and a chair rolls pretty decently across it. It’s not huge but just big enough to slide left or right or just move a bit. It didn’t work so well on carpet as sections would since in but it works great on hardwood. Read more
