I bought one of these in Feb. 2024 and seemed to do pretty well on a medium pile carpet, about 1/4" high fibers. I bought another one in Nov. 2024. So far no cracks on either one. My size was the 45" x 53". Problem is, with using it on a medium pile carpet is that, while you sit in your chair for 10 minutes or more in one spot, you start to sink into pot holes/dimples made by your chair rollers. Then you need to push yourself out, only to roll back into the indents. I stayed away from hard mats because of reading reviews and my mat has to go under some of my desk legs. I'm thinking the weight of the desk would break any hard floor mat. Read more
Not good for thick carpet. Too soft and wheels sink into dip. Read more
This is a great chair mat. It was difficult to unroll and get to flatten out. It took two people and we only got it partially flattened. I ended up putting the mat under the chair with the ends partially rolled up, but it didn't take long for them to completely flatten out as I sat in my chair and rolled around on the mat. The mat does not slide around or roll up on me and is protecting our LVP floors with no problem! Read more
The mat is definitely heavy duty and should last many years. Unspooling this thing is NOT anywhere close to the product instructions. It's absolutely a 2 man job plus the recommendation to just put books on it is absurd. We had to put 300lbs of weights on it (from our home gym) for 48 hours, then put a space heater right next to it for more pliability. After 48 hours (24 hours is recommended which is wrong), I brought it to my home office but still have 50lbs of weights on one side. I'm now at 3 days with significant weight. Anyway, I think it will hold up for a long time but be prepared for prolonged flattening and have very heavy items ready (NOT BOOKS)! **Addendum 4/1/25 - 3.5 months later my desk chair wheel broke through. I'm 200 lbs so buyers beware! Read more
Bought this to replace an older (diff company, more expensive) mat that, after 6 years finally started to crack a little. This 'works' but I am not crazy about it. The material is quite soft - so no way to use on softer floors (I know it's made for hardwood - don't buy this for carpet even if thin), and I found - on hardwood - the material to 'stick' to my chair rollers (Herman Miller), so movement was much harder than on the other material. I think I'll use it for a bit but then will likely replace 'before its time' Read more
My desk chair rolled too much on the vinyl plank flooring. I had to hold onto my desk to keep from sailing across the room. A rubber backed throw rug rumpled up as I moved the chair around and did not allow for easy movement. I needed something that would stay flat but was not as slick as the floor. This mat did the trick. Out of the box it rolled out flat. My chair moves easily but stays put when I am not actively moving it. It also matches my desk chair and my computer! The only con is that it does move over a period of days. Once every 5-7 days I shift it back into position. The movement is slight. My desk is 40" wide and the mat, at its widest point, is 47". If the desk was wide enough to get the mat all the way under, it probably would not be as noticeable. I am very happy with it and recommend it. Read more

It came rolled, but unrolled easily. It protects the hardwood floor as I knew it would. Read more
