This chair mat looks great but it fails in several other aspects. The woven look texture looks nice but it prevent easy movement of my chair, because of the rough texture but also because it has a rubbery surface. It is thin and although it came rolled up it unrolled nicely but still does not lay flat because of its thickness. I guess there reason that many chair mats that do work are hard, chairs easily roll on them, but his chair mat inhibits that function. It’s too bad because this is a really good looking mat. Yes, it protects the wood floor. Yes, it comes in various sizes and fits the width of my desk perfectly. But, unfortunately, I still have to wrestle my chair into place and hold it so I can sit down without crashing to the floor. I was hoping the texture on this mat would keep my chair from doing that. Hopes have been dashed. It's not all the mat's fault. My desk chair doesn't have locks on the wheels, so there's that. I have to say the mat looks great and lays out nicely. No folds, creases or rolled edges. It kind of looks like a carpet and has a little texture but maybe not enough for my chair. That all being said, I still like the mat and will continue to use it. This chair mat is super nice and there's a lot I like about it. It came rolled up. It has a nice weight to it so immediately it lays flat and within hours it sits flush to my floor. It's nice and thin so if I roll my chair off of it it's easy to roll back onto it. I like the color, I think it looks great. I got to choose the size and there's multiple options for your needs, mine worked out perfectly. I love this design. Again it looks good and actually feels very great on my feet, I go barefoot in my home. It provides a nice grip but doesn't hinder movement of the wheels. My chair glides very well on it, nice and smooth. The bottom is rubber and provides a very stable grip onto my hardwood floor, the mat doesn't move at all, even when I roll my chair on and off of it. This mat seems very durable, sturdy and it's very easy to clean. Any spills can be wiped right up and it's easy to sweep. Overall I'm very impressed with this mat. Great chair mat for wooden floors. My office is in an old building (1800s) and the floors are very sloped. This mat provides just enough traction to keep my chair in place. It also works great to protect the (pine) floors. The mat is durable and well-made. It has a tightly woven top and a non-slip bottom layer. It is very thin too. This mat does exactly what I wanted it to do, zero complaints. The mat comes rolled up, but laid flat without much effort. A slight curl on one edge, but that's easy enough to fix.
