I wanted to play an original Xbox game on my Xbox 360 S, but I was unable to because I was lacking a hard drive. I bought the Xbox 360 500 GB hard drive, and after inserting the hard drive into the console, I was able to play that original Xbox game. Putting the hard drive in was super easy. All you need to do is view the right side of the console (near the back). The side in question looks like a grill, and it should be the one with the latch that opens the hidden door. Then you insert the hard drive into the secret compartment and voila. It’s super beginner friendly and it does not require any skill whatsoever. Read more

I was really skeptical..I looked at this product many times without a purchase because of the bad reviews and price ... I finally bought the hard drive a few weeks ago. IT IS AWESOME. This works just like it should for our Xbox 360 slim. Although their are much cheaper options for hard drives, I felt better purchasing an "official" Xbox hard drive and I'm glad I did. This provides us with more game storage so we can play more games. I'm happy but my kids are super happy! Read more

I found a 360 E in a thrift store with no cables or hard drive for $20. So I bought a power supply, HDMI, a controller for less than $100. The Hard Drive was harder to come by. It was the most expensive part of the process because I wanted the official Microsoft hard drive. $119 is very high for 500GB but they are out of production and are the most reliable model. So far my 360 is running well and storing a good number of my games. May have cost $240 but it was worth it. Read more

This was a simple plug and play scenario. I purchased this for my son's unit which only came with the 4 gig internal drive. As soon as it was plugged into the bay, it worked perfectly (since Christmas 2019). Now my kids can play the games that were requiring the additional space. Read more
