This is an amazing light for the price. While I probably won't use this for camping, it's great for illuminating my back yard in places where the light from the house does not reach. I am in an older home where the power is on poles in the back alley and the power is prone to going out during really bad storms. This light will be more than enough as a stop gap until the power is restored. The light is rechargeable and has a pretty large battery. You can also use it to charge your smart devices. It comes with a remote control which allows you to cycle through the light intensity. There's also a flashlight at the top. The kit comes with a tripod and the light screws onto the top. The tripod itself is sturdy, but I have some issues with the feet for the bottom. You slide this ring up and down to raise and lower the feet. The plastic of the feet itself feels strong but the place where the feet connect to the tripod tube could be more secure. They feel like they can easily break from the tube if too much force is accidentally placed. There's a button which unlocks the feet and it's sometimes hard to get it to unlock so you can raise or lower the feet. Definitely not a game changer but I will be 3D printing an adapter so I can attach the light to an existing tripod I have just in case something breaks One feature that I love is you can adjust each of the three lamps to point in different directions; this allows for different uses, such as a table lamp, lantern, yard lamp, etc. One upgrade that I would love to see in future generations is the ability to turn just one or two of the lights on instead of all three having to be on or off at the same time. Ever try to setup or teardown a campsite at night. This light would sure help. I also like the wide variety of arrangements so that it can be used as a work light under several conditions. The light arrived well packaged in good condition. I will use the package to store the light even though it is not intended as such. One drawback is that the light consists of several large pieces that could get separated. Not having a case to put it all in makes it harder to use for camping. The materials of the light are heavy plastic with some metal parts. The design and construction are of high quality and should be very durable. The main light element is rather large and heavy because it has a lot of battery power in it. You must have adult hands to use it as a flashlight. The magnets on the base work well in attaching it to sheet metal. The hook is a little small but is great for hanging it from a line. The light is exceptionally bright and fills a room. Outdoors the light covers a lot of ground, and you can arrange the various panels to provide the exact illumination that you need. The major advantage of this kind of light is its flexibility. As for the stand, it can hold this heavy light solidly on rough ground. The spread of the tripod base is large so that it has good resistance to tripping. The height is just right to place the light element right at eye level at its maximum, but you can also place it down at knee level. The stand is substantially heavier than a camera tripod. The remote control is a real plus, but it only works over line of sight with the sensor. The many modes and levels help you get exactly the illumination you need. The remote mount attaches to the tripod pole only. The controls on the main light element provide all of the same functions as you can get from the remote. There are also some LEDs on the light element to act as a battery fuel gauge. If you need some USB charging power, this light has ports to give you a charge. The size of the battery is substantial. My big travel battery is less than half this size. As for negatives, the only big one is the large separate pieces making it hard to transport and keep together. The hook is rather small and fragile. I don't care for the stiff snap that occurs when stowing the light elements. I worry that the snap will induce a mechanical shock to the delicate light elements and cause premature failure. Overall, this light exceeds my expectations as a work light but as a camp light leaves something to be desired. The price is very good for the value. Read more

Although I originally got this to add to my camp kit, I found it to be an awesome indoor work light. It's super bright, the lights can be rotated, and the magnetic base is strong enough to hold the lamp upside down on a magnetic surface. This became my work light when I needed to do something in my engine bay and my garage light just wasn't doing it. I ended up attaching this to an available flat piece of metal on my hood (almost upside down) and it held. I used it for about an hour and the battery was still almost fully charged. The light includes a tripod, extension pole, remote control, USB C charging cable, and remote control tray (to attach to the mast). The unit is somewhat heavy and great for car camping, but its too heavy and bulky for hiking. When setup and fully extended on the tripod, it's a little over 6 feet tall. Stability is ok, but there was some minor wobble when the mast was fully extended and you accidently hit the pole. The 3 light bars face up by default when opened, but can be adjust to face sideways or down. A light in the center top of the unit also serves as a flashlight. A USB type C connector is used to charge the light (no charger is included, but you can use any standard USB charger). A USB type A connector can be used to charge your phone or other USB devices. A small USB tray can be attached to the pole with Velcro to store your remote. The 3 light bars can be setup with 3 different colors (bright white, soft white, warm white) and each has 3 intensities. Light color is selected (along with the flashlight mode) by repeatedly pressing the power button. Light intensity can be selected by pressing the intensity button. Every fourth press to the button places the light bars into blinking mode. I tested the charge function to charge my phone and it worked correctly, charging my phone in fast charge mode. I really wasn't expecting to use this as a work light, but the magnetic base and adjustable light bars make it perfect for use in my garage. Read more
