I've had this scooter now for about 5 months, and I have zero complaints! I've had no issues at all, the ride is smooth, and I like it! It's my first and only scooter so I may not be the best judge in scooters as I have nothing to compare it to. But for that reason, I think it's great, it's very simple and easy to use. I don't use it to go all crazy fast or anything. It's something I purchased so I can ride with my 5 year old around the neighborhood. Battery life seems to be great. I've gone maybe 3 hours riding or more or so at one point and the battery went below a quarter? I love the simple white design, & the smooth ride! Read more
Always had an issue with the battery. Had it since December 25th, and it's now dead as it has been for months. So disappointing. Read more
It doesn’t have a powerful motor, so wouldn’t be useful in a place like San Francisco, but for where I live it works great. I use it to get to the train, there is a small hill and it makes it up the hill alright. It doesn’t go super fast, but I don’t want to go super fast, so again it’s great for me. It does have a feature where if you are going too fast, like 16 mph it will automatically break, so you can’t gai. Tons of speed going downhill. Maxes out around 16 mph before automatic breaking. I purchased this scooter for daily commute. It’s a great price, but you get what you paid for. After several months of use, it’s paid itself off in not having to buy gas, but it does come with some caveats. Safety - It’s really hard to get used to if you use the scooters for rent in your city because this one zips around and brakes FAST. I also feel like helmets are needed for this scooter. The first week after purchase, the wheel got stuck in the sidewalk cracks and I bruised my ankle pretty bad, so now I take the street when there are ridges in the sidewalk. It’s also really bad on uneven ground and bumps, so you need to know your route well. Because it breaks so fast, I’ve learned to pump the breaks or lean my weight backward so I don’t fall forward. I definitely would not recommend this scooter for tall adults or anyone who weighs over 170lb. It’s just too small and rickety and I’d worry about someone seriously injuring themselves; however, as someone that’s on the average to shorter side, it’s great and zips around the way you’d need to in city traffic. I saw in some reviews that parents have been purchasing for kids, but it just doesn’t feel safe enough in my opinion. Battery - It doesn't go as long as advertised and I end up having to charge between every other trip. I’d say it only lasts 3-4 miles at most on top speed. Speed - Perfect for city commutes on top speed. You don’t really need to go faster than 15mph. Low speed functions seem pointless and not necessary in my opinion. Weight - Easy to carry and collapses simple enough. Clasp does not lock; however, so you have to be mindful when carrying. App feature - Didn’t connect and customer service never responded. Overall - I’d purchase this again! It’s not the best, but perfect if you’re a small adult looking for daily use. It locks up in a bike rack well, but it’s cheap enough that you don’t need to worry about it getting stolen. If I didn’t need my car for my pets, I’d honestly ditch it because I love this scooter so much. If you’re looking to go down to a one car household, or save money on public transit, this is your best bet. A great starter scooter! Read more
The media could not be loaded. The scooter works fine and I’ve left it charging overnight or half a day but it only goes to 96%. Been trying to charge it more but it still does the same when the battery is only 36%. It doesn’t go any further and I have to drag it to get what I’m going to. I wish they could have done something about it or is it just my scooter? Read more
I got this for my wife who is 5.4 ft tall as a Christmas present. She can ride it pretty easily. There were no installation needed and the scooter is ready to ride right out of the box. It also had half way charged battery. This scooter is not for tall peoplebut up to 5.5 ft I think can ride it easily. It is a bit heavy to be carried around but not that heavy that we can put it in the trunk and bring it out easily. The speed and battery life of the scooter is acceptable for the price range. Apparently there is an internal throttle issue that popped up after owning it for a little over a year and only 50mi. My 10 year old bought this with his own money (first big purchase) and he cared for it meticulously. Unfortunately it threw an error code (18) and OKAI offered to fix it for $150 with no warranty. Going another route. Should have just paid the extra cost and bought from a name brand. Avoid… it’s cheap. Read more
