This eye mask comes beautifully gift boxed with a stick of dried lavender. (The mask itself does not contain lavender.) The weight is just enough to feel soothing without crushing my eyes. As a side sleeper, I find the mask is a little heavy for actual sleeping. (For sleep, I use the same company's unweighted ones) The weighted one is great for meditation, relaxing, or nursing a headache.. The nose flaps on all their masks are comfy, light blocking, and fit me perfectly. Also, and btw, the pink is a pleasing soft tint, not bright or peachy. Quick notes: If you have long hair, or are scent-sensitive during migraines, this set is not for you. If you have short hair and want a spa-like treatment, you need this. Detailed review below. So this is a beautiful silk mask with a removeable heat/cold pack. It has an invisible zipper I'm not fond of, and a Velcro strap I really dislike, as it catches in my hair no matter how perfectly I secure it. I prefer the adjustable elastic bands even if they are not as pretty, as they can fit my head without having it snag in my hair as I'm trying to relieve my migraine with heat or cold therapy. I'm going to remove the Velcro and add elastic inside, as I REALLY like this mask otherwise, and can tolerate the zipper, and the heat pack on non-migraine days. It holds the heat or cold very well, and dispersed evenly over a passable amount of time. I do wish they had an unscented option, as Lavender, soothing as it usually is, is an irritant when I have a migraine, so I'll likely need to find or make another insert, but it's beautiful to relax with on days that's not an issue. It has a zippered bag for the mask, and a non-zippered one for the insert, which I'm immediately swapping out for a Ziploc, as I don't want the mask itself to be perfumed when I need it most. It doesn't say, but as it's silk, handwash mask cold and empty with zipper closed and line dry. The insert cannot be washed, as it's filled with a natural heatable medium and Lavender. I've had an eye mask with ice pack for a long time and I love it. However, the way it's designed, it can't be heated, only used for cold. Cold is great for the eyes in many instances but sometimes you want or need warmth. I requested this knowing full well it was meant to be microwaved and I don't have a microwave. I just placed the pack in a waterproof bag and immersed it in hot water until it reached the temperature I wanted. This worked great and I placed it on my tired eyes and laid back in the recliner to relax and test it out. It was so soothing and comforting that the next thing I knew, it was 2 hours later and supper was late. When I woke up the pack was still warm enough, so it does retain heat pretty well. This does have a Velcro type hook and loop fastener which I was a little concerned about getting caught in my hair, but the hook side isn't as aggressive as it is on other brands and I didn't have any issues. I'll try to include a photo that shows this. A great number of people are no longer using microwaves, if you are one of those, you can heat it just fine in hot water as long as it's in a sealed bag. Just make sure you dry the bag well before opening it so you don't get the pack wet. The pack should never get wet as it will damage the contents. The outer fabric cover is hand washable. The fabric content isn't listed on the mask, but it is soft, almost like a dull satin feel to it. I would love to have another like it but with a silk cover. That would be heaven! The zipper closure where you insert the pack into the mask is completely recessed so it won't bother your skin. It is a very thin zipper, not bulky at all so you shouldn't even notice it across your forehead. The fit is decent on my small head and does a good job blocking out light. It's not complete blackout on me, but that could be due to the fit on my small face. A normal size face would probably be able to achieve better fit with complete blackout. Read more

I absolutely love this lavender eye mask! The plush satin material feels so soft and gentle against my skin, making it a comfy to wear, even for long periods. Plsu it comers with a strap for hanging and a bag for storing. The adjustable velcro straps make it easy to get a perfect fit for any head size, and I like that you can remove the scented weight pack if you just want a light-blocking mask without the scent and weight. It does use a zipper to close the pocket for the scented weight pack, but you cannot feel it at all. There is also extra material around when the mask lays across your nose for extra comfort. Heating the mask is simple and quick, whether in the microwave or using hot water, and it holds the warmth for a long time. It’s versatile, comfortable, portable, and effective—perfect for relaxing tired eyes, soothing puffiness, or enjoying a peaceful nap.
