I was running late for an over-night trip that started with a to a dinner-and-cocktails function, realized that I had forgotten to pack this robe, so I just tossed this on over this purple dress PattyBoutik Women's Sleeveless Blouson Maxi Dress (Dark Purple L) and I figured that I'd stick it into my bag once I got to the hotel. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was met by several friends who were there for the event, so I didn't get a chance to pack away the robe. I had to laugh as I was being showered in compliments on my lovely kimono! HA! Until I told them what happened, no one even realized that I was wearing a ROBE (To be fair, I wasn't wearing the belt - it was in my pocket)! What a happy mistake! I've worn it as a jacket a few times since and I always get compliments :) Anyway, it's really, really nice quality, especially at this price! Now I want an aqua one, too! It's actually even prettier than in the photo. It's NOT scratchy, it IS super beautiful fabric - the print almost looks dimensional! You'd have to see it up close to understand what I mean. All the seams are straight and sturdy - even the pockets (which come in handy) No loose threads. Yes, you can MACHINE WASH AND DRY! I've washed it on gentle, dried on low heat a few times already and it has always come out perfect. Really, I think it will last a long time. ** Fit: I'm 5'8, about 165 - 170 and it fits me nicely. Unlike most things, the belt loops actually made the belt hit at my natural waist. It also has an inner tie, which I could tie about 1/2 way (my tummy is swollen right now), so you could be smaller or larger than I am and it will still fit you. *** I rely heavily on reviews when choosing items, so I try to write ones that I would find helpful. I had a teal robe like this before and I gave it away when I was cleaning my closet. I quickly regretted it! For years, I have thought..... wow, that was really pretty... why did I get rid of it?! I bought a red satin robe with black flowers, but it wasn't the same. Now I have a similar robe back thanks to this wonderful seller Old Shanghai! The robe is very nice with lush satin fabric. The length is above the knee. (I'm 5'6") There are two belt loops and two pockets. Belt is included. I got the "peacock" color which is teal. The pattern with the white and pink flowers is very pretty. I like the pattern's peacock bird which has pale pink tail feathers... the tail looks especially silky in the light. I'm 125 lbs and the size is big, but when belted the extra fabric isn't a problem. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the sleeves. They are 3/4 sleeves and really wide! But I guess that's the "kimono" feel of it. I suppose it's good that they are only 3/4 length because then my hands aren't drowning in the extra fabric. Overall...... it's so pretty! I really like this kimono. The product was delivered within four business days. Their a variety of colors to choose from and its a affordable price. Great for staying at home, getting out of the shower or when unexpected visitors come by and you need to grab something quick. I love how the material light and how it has pockets on the side. I'm petite, I'm 5"2 and weigh 114 lbs. I only wished it was smaller and a bit shorter( goes past my knee) because I literally have to tighten the rope to my waist or else my cleavage shows.
