I bought the OLIGHT Oclip Rechargeable EDC Flashlight thinking, “Cool, a tiny light I’ll probably lose in a week.” Well, joke’s on me—this thing is so bright it basically found me before I could lose it. First off, it’s small. Like, I’ve lost bigger crumbs small. It clips onto anything: your pocket, your hat, your backpack, your life choices. And yet somehow this miniature glow-goblin blasts out enough light to make me wonder if I accidentally turned on stadium lighting. I turned it on in my living room and my cat squinted at me like I’d just summoned daylight indoors. I clipped it to my hat while taking out the trash at night and suddenly the raccoons were shielding their eyes like paparazzi caught them doing something illegal. Honestly, I felt powerful. Rechargeable? Yup. Easy? Yup. Bright enough that I need to warn my neighbors before using it? Also yup. This little thing rocks. It’s surprisingly bright and has a white, brighter white, and red light option. The handy clip is great to attach to a shirt, hat, or in my case molle webbing for a plate carrier. Simple, compact, and a great EDC option. This past Christmas, I got my husband a tactical stocking. On it was a molle system, which I intended on “decorating” with this little 2” light my husband had mentioned wanting in passing. He was shocked to see it come Christmas. He didn’t anticipate me having gotten it for him, thinking that the light was actually a good 30-50$ more expensive than the price listed here. When he turned it on, I near went blind, and for that alone I would have imagined it would have been a bit more expensive too; had I not known. The light arrived in excellent packaging. A sturdy cardboard type box, containing typical warning/ instructions, the light and charging cable. The light itself is made out of metal, and is much more durable than I had originally anticipated for an item of its cost, brightness and size. It also has a clip and magnetic backing, making it easy to use hands free or store (like on a metal locker). Lastly, the light has only had a brief charge (both current battery it arrived with and a small additional charge after), and been used sporadically. So far there has been no visible decline in battery life despite use/ lack thereof or quality of the light output either. Crap shoot Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have many of olight products and have always been more than satisfied, but I totally got a lemon with this product. I got this around Mar 2025 and end of June it's already dead. Light comes on to charge but does NOT charge at all. I just recently placed another order of lights and now questioning the quality control. Definitely no way to tell because it fails outside the return window. Planned obsolescence? When it worked, it was an amazing light, magnet feature is handy when you need a free hand and the ability to clip on to things as well. Very bright and I like the moonlight feature as well when you don't need to light up the room. If you get the light, make sure you check the charging before the return period or you'll be stuck with a $30 refrigerator magnet. Props to Olight for reaching out and making amends with my misfortune. They responded quickly and refunded my purchase. Very commendable to take responsibility and correct the issue. I definitely will try again to repurchase this item. I have many other olight products which have stood the test of time with no problems. Although, I have 2 other products that failed which they have not contacted me about. The others being the lighted sphere which will not charge, and the light similar to this one but had the 3 lights built in. This one also failed to charge, this was in a few months after purchase.
