This is a good example of outright lying by sellers. This clock is NOT a "loud alarm clock". I tested it with a decent decibel meter (measures sound volume) and the loudest it measured with the meter 6 inches from the clock was 44.7 db, about the level of two people talking very quietly or moderate rainfall. An average alarm clock is in the 70 db and up range. It's too cheap to bother returning, which was probably the intention of the seller. Read more

This clock is compact, simple in design, and easy to read. Controls are easy to set with a button on top to illuminate it in the dark. Just as described in the ad, It does not make a sound, which is wonderful! The second hand moves smoothly with no hesitation, which matters to me because the jerky moving second hand of my old alarm clock attracted the unwanted attention of the cat. It's perfect! Read more
