This product has that nice weight to it to make it feel expensive while having a nice price point. It is not made cheap, so when you position the angle, it holds it. Even with a heavier item such as my 11" iPad pro. It doesn't slide around so you can work on your tablet, and it will hold its place. The design is pretty sleek and looks clean in my office. I use this stand to hold an iPad Pro 12.9”, in an Apple Smart Keyboard folio (folded around the back, book style), while I’m at my desk typing with an Apple Magic Keyboard. That way, when I’m at my desk, I have the superior keyboard right below the iPad in this stand, and when I have to run to a meeting, I can just pick-up the iPad from the stand and have the attached Smart Keyboard cover. This stand is nearly perfect, and I mean that. First, it’s incredibly stable. The adhesive is rock-solid when attached to a smooth desktop, and the hinge is nicely stiff. I can poke hard at the iPad Pro, and it’s not going anywhere. The iPad isn’t quite as stable when it’s in portrait mode as it is in landscape, but it’s still perfectly serviceable. The hinge that allows you to control a nearly infinite (usable) viewing angle is nicely stiff and shows no signs of slipping, even when holding the 12.9” Pro in its keyboard case—fantastic. I have literally only one reservation about the stand, and that is related to the adhesive under the pedestal. It’s a thick sheet of what feels like a “sticky” adhesive; it’s not a micro-suction pad. Therefore, once you put it down, I’m not sure what it’s going to be like when it’s removed and/or if it could be relocated to another area and have any “stick” left. You need to be REALLY sure where you’re putting it when you peel off the protective layer over the adhesive base. (You CAN use the stand without peeling off the adhesive, but if it’s on a smooth surface, even the slightest touch on the iPad will push the stand along with it.) If you’re looking for a product like this, however, I highly, highly recommend it. EDITED TO ADD: I’ve had this stand about six months now. I’m never satisfied with my iPad in a desktop form, so I keep going back and forth to different setups. I come back to this stand a LOT. The extra height it gives an iPad off the desk is great, and the swivel is still as firm/smooth as the day I bought it. ALSO, I’ve taken it on and off of my desk probably 100 times (being careful to put back on the plastic sheet that it came with to cover the sticky part when I put it away), and it seems to stick just as well the 100th time as it did the first time, so my fears about that have been answered. I was in need of a good stand for my 10 “ iPad, to avoid having to hold it up or use it flat on a table. The Omoton stand is perfect for my uses. It is heavy and sturdy, with adjustable viewing angles that keep the bottom of the tablet some 2 inches plus above my workspace. Adjustment of viewing angles are smooth and secure, with the ledge of the stand measuring about 1 inch deep and over 4 inches wide and over 4 inches tall. It works well on my iPad in an horizontal or vertical orientation and is quite sturdy. There is a hole in the back of the stand to run wires or cables, if needed. Stand is well made, sturdy and works well on desk/table. This version is "value engineered" from previous model that had the hinge at both the top and base for more versatile adjustment as well as folding up for easier packing in a suitcase or bag. This stand is sturdy. It's made of thick aluminum, not the thin pliable kind. It has a little weight to it. I use it at work for my iPhone 6S Plus with an Otterbox Defender Case. Since the Otterbox case is thick, it doesn't sit in the cradle of the stand; it sits on top of it. I would need to take the Otterbox case off in order for my phone to sit in the cradle. But the stand is so sturdy, I don't mind how my phone sits on it. I can easily text my wife without having to pull the iPhone off the stand without rocking it in any way. I also tried it on my iPad Air 1 with an Otterbox Defender Case aswell. It also is too thick to sit in the cradle of the stand, but sits on top of it. Although it does this, the stand holds the iPad very well. The stand and iPad remain sturdy when placed long-ways (the long edge of the iPad sits on the cradle). If you place the iPad on its short end, on the cradle, the center of gravity is too high. It is easily tipped over. My pictures include the stand cradling my old iPhone 4S. Notice how it sits on the cradle, not in it. It would be nice if the cradle allows for more room in order to accommodate cases. It only will allows for naked phones. Also, if you have a case, the power cord me not be able to be inserted into your phone depending on the location on your phone. The inlet at the bottom is big enough, but that bar in the middle gets in the way. Otherwise, it's a pretty sturdy stand, and for the price, it's a good deal.
