This dimmable small light attracted me due to it's size, being rechargeable, and the selection of light temperatures. I found it to be a very useful small desk light, which works well at night for dealing with paperwork without putting main lights on, and for adding light for fiddly tasks using small tools. Being so light also means it's easy to grab from the stand for charging or for carrying around. The variable brightness works well, I've attached an image of the light next to a 3" tall clock for scale, and at a dim setting and I can easily read and deal with paperwork at this setting while the rest of the room is dark. There are two magnets on the back of the vertical part of the stand, which hold well on a flat magnetic surface. It can be a little awkward to position the lamp due to the limited swivel of the head, but makes the light useful in workrooms, storage areas and garages where only a small light is needed to cover a limited focused area. It won't, for example, light up an entire garage but for extra light at a workbench it can be useful. I can only really find one drawback for my purposes - it is slightly top heavy when removed from the stand and so care is needed using the magnets. The magnets work well on a completely flat surface such as flat steel storage cabinets or filing cabinets, but tend to rotate on a curved surface (such as a refrigerator door), or a textured surface (for example refrigerator side panels with low steel content). Stronger magnets might lift the lamp into a different price range, so I understand the compromise. The only other concern is whether the tiny on/off switch at the side will be durable if roughly handled. The supplied USB cable is just over 30" long, which is good to get started however if giving this light as a gift I would probably include a longer braided cable for more flexibility in charging locations. My home office has plenty of light during the daytime but I often need a focused light when looking at cable connections in the back part of my desk and bookcase. This little rechargeable light is perfect for those times when I need a focused light but don't have an extra hand to hold a flashlight. I keep it charged and it sits in the holder until needed. The button on the front allows me to step though the light shade I want. Even though it looks like you might be able to adjust the downward angle of the light, you can't. Not a big deal as it is positioned well for most applications. The price seems very low for the quality and the only thing I would change would be to have it offered in black instead of just the white. Black would look so much better on my desk but I didn't deduct from my rating for this personal bias. Read more

This is a very small and lightweight lamp. Overall, on the stand, it is slightly taller than a pint glass for reference. You charge it through the included USB-A to USB-C cord. You'll need to provide your own wall adapter, or you can charge it using your computer. It's listed as a desk lamp, but I don't think it's bright enough to light up a work environment. It's brighter than a nightlight but provides gentle illumination. This is best for ambient lighting needs—it isn't bright enough for desk work in my opinion. I think this would be ideal for navigating to the restroom in the middle of the night. Unlike a traditional desk lamp, the head cannot be adjusted to face downward—only to the sides and somewhat backward. There's a stand included, but the lamp itself is portable. I'm having a hard time identifying situations where this would be particularly useful. I did think it would work well in a tent or camper, providing enough light for adults to move around after the children are asleep. It would be better than a flashlight in that scenario because the glow is gentle. I fully charged it and turned it on. The charge lasted about 3.25 hours on the highest setting. A short press of the power button switches between cool, warm, and natural light. I find the cool light to be brightest and the warm light to be dimmest. To use the dimming feature, press and hold the power button. An instruction sheet is provided, but the font is extremely tiny—my mature eyes had to use magnification to read it. Two magnets are included if you want to mount it to a wall, which again seems geared toward RV or camper use. This isn't particularly sturdy. I think a good drop would break it, though I haven't tested that. I was hoping to use it while painting with watercolors, but it doesn't provide enough light to improve my vision.
