These western style boots are pretty cute! I like the lower height and the cowboy boot details. I think that adds a little bit of visual interest, making them a bit more attractive than the same style boot with a completely plain finish. The toe box of is VERY round - it took a little getting used to when I would look down at them and see such a round front on them, but the rounded toe box means there is plenty of room for your toes. Unlike most shoes that taper towards the toe, these have the same width throughout, from front to back. One thing that really surprised me initially was how difficult they were to get on. I thought with the lower profile that they'd actually be easier to get on, but that was not the case. They were fairly stiff initially and it made it pretty difficult to get them over my heel (to the point that I could feel my heel impacting and slightly bending the hard piece of plastic between the layers of fabric that gives the back of the heel support and strength). Thankfully, once they were on, they fit great. I was actually shocked that they fit true to size, as that is almost never the case for me with boots. I normally wear a 9.5 in all other shoes, and the 9.5 in these fit exactly right. I'm happy to say that these also fit my heels really well, so they aren't flopping around on my foot at all. They are decently warm thanks to the thick lining. You do not need to wear socks with them, though it does feel like there's enough room to wear a thin set of socks if you so choose. The quality seems good. I have not come across any issues with workmanship, materials, construction, finish, etc. Both the soles and uppers feel like they are fairly durable and will last a long time if I take care of them properly. As is typical with this style of boot, they are completely flat with no arch support. The cushioning is decent, so they are comfortable from that standpoint. However, if you are someone that requires a really supportive shoe, you will likely find that these are not great for all-day wear (this has been my experience). But for the tons of people who can comfortably wear flat shoes all day long, I think they will be totally thrilled with them. I got these in 9.5 and they fit well on some somebody a size 9, so they run about a half size small. They were comfortable, warm but not stuffy and got then on and off with ease. The soles are fairly thick. The quality of the uppers, particularly the "stitch" areas don't look great up closer, but just okay. Read more
