They no longer make the original "Pro Health Deep Clean" dental floss. This newer version is inferior in every way if you have been using the original for years, because of it's materials. This is not the string feeling floss, it's more like Christmas tree icicles with that thin, plastic feel. It does not clean as well, breaks easily and is slippery when you wrap it around your fingers and start using it, as your fingers get wet. It looks like every floss they make is now some form of this thin, plastic floss. It seems everywhere you look, they will still advertise the Pro-Clean and you get this newer version. I see they have changed the picture since I bought it as that is how it was advertised. Now the search to find real floss that was like the old. Read more

Now I've tried three different brands of floss to see how they hold up to anti-fraying and anti breakage. although none were perfect, Oral-B Complete Satin Tape had a lot of fraying with small strings getting stuck between teeth but no breakage. Next, Reach Ultraclean Mint Floss did a fare job with less fraying but broke often. Finally, Oral-B Deep Clean did the best for me with no fraying and just occasional breakage. My teeth have tight and mid gaps so take into consideration for the best floss for your teeth. Read more
