Oral-B Glide Floss Picks-30 count Unflavored Pack of 6

BUYER BEWARE! I’ve been a huge fan of these floss picks ever since they were introduced 10 or 20 years ago. But the product has recently changed (I’m writing this in May 2025) and not for the better. When I was using the previous version of these picks, one would occasionally break (the floss, not the plastic), at a rate of maybe 1 to 3 out of a pack of 30. That wasn’t a bid deal for me. HOWEVER, this new version of the product is a disaster, at least for me. I note the packages now say “NEW CleanTech Floss - GLIDES 50% EASIER,” and I do agree with that, the floss does, indeed, glide easier. But at what cost? The floss on the new picks break often. VERY often. They break at the rate of 2 to 10 PER DAY (1 flossing session). My photo shows the SEVEN floss picks that broke while I was flossing my teeth this morning. Yesterday morning, 4 of them broke. The day before that, 9 of them broke. I’ve been using these newer picks since I got a 6-pack of them about a month ago, and it’s been crazy how easily they break. Previously, a pack of 30 would last about 27-28 days (due to a couple breaking). But now, using the new picks, I’ve gone through 20 picks in just 3 days (an average of 6.7 per day!). At that rate, it means a 30 qty pack of these floss picks now lasts only 4.5 days! That means the new version of these picks is ridiculously expensive. I use these new picks exactly like I used the old ones. I’ve had no significant dental work that would affect the durability of the floss. It’s clear that these new floss picks, while they do glide better than the old ones, break at an alarming rate, making them way too expensive for the average consumer. I have been using these floss picks for years and they are the best. I was really worried about reviews stating an issue with floss breaking during use. Whatever the manufacturing issue was it seems to have been corrected. I am happy to report that my most recent purchase performed perfectly (no broken or shredded floss). Read more

These used to be fantastic floss picks. They were easy to use and durable. With the recent change to the new "CleanTech Floss" they have become entirely useless. What used to be a single pick for the entire mouth has turned into at the very least to be two picks if you are lucky. This new floss is so easy to glide that it glides right out of the plastic and can no longer be used. If you are lucky enough for it to stay in the plastic it shreds very easily and will leave little strings stuck between your teeth. If anyone does buy these, call up Oral B and try to get your money back, the packaging states it has a money back guarantee and with a receipt they will refund your money. Hopefully enough times and enough negative reviews they will return this product to it's previous iteration. Until then, stay clear away from these if you don't want the hassle of fighting for your money back. I first tried the pre-strung flossers when I started to strongly dislike the string floss that has to be wrapped so securely around one's fingers that one starts to see the blood in one's fingers constrict while using it!!! I tried floss picks from other companies and found either they don't work in my mouth, and/or their floss breaks and/or gets stuck in my teeth, both things I dislike intensely. I've tried the angle floss picks and they won't work in my mouth. I don't like flosses that are "too thick" and don't fit between my teeth or ones that are "too thin" and fray or split when moving them between my teeth. Suddenly while writing this review I'm starting to feel a bit like Golidlocks but the floss on these floss picks IS "just right". These picks are perfect for me. They're packaged well, the package opens easily and importantly ALSO closes back up easily and securely. For every 30 count, maybe for one or two, the floss will split and you'll abort the flossing process and reach for another, but in any given package, you can therefore expect that 28 or 29 picks will function perfectly. This is a much better performance than other floss picks from other companies whose products I've purchased, where I've discard 3 or 4 in a row looking for one that doesn't break. Read more

We have been ordering these for years now. While they've not always been the most durable, they work relatively well and are the most comfortable of all floss picks, which is why we've continued purchasing them. This most recent batch has been absolutely horrible. We'd typically chock it up to a bad batch, but having done some research online recently, it seems the Glide floss has taken a turn for the worse, and the entire community has begun to notice. I break 3-4 of them every night. Last night, when it broke, the floss actually got stuck in my teeth, requiring me to use another floss pick to try and pluck it out. That floss pick also broke. I ended up using a paper towel for friction to try and grab and pull this out. In addition to breaking, the Glide floss is junk now. I echo what the community has said; they are just awful. The floss shreds and falls apart incredibly easy. If it doesn't, it pulls out of the slot in the pick. These are simply unusable and certainly not worth the premium anymore that we were once willing to pay. Glide has lost a customer in us. Read more
