I love this toothbrush way more than I was expecting to. I don’t think I’ve ever held a toothbrush of such high quality and weight. And I’ve definitely never used a toothbrush that gives my teeth a polished feeling like I just got a cleaning at the dentist, until now! Using this toothbrush daily in combination with a daily floss and good mouthwash can turn your oral health around. I was always the type to not skip out on brushing and flossing my teeth, so hearing my dentist say my gums were inflamed year after year was frustrating. He would always tell me, I’m lucky I have no cavities because my gums are inflamed and red, and I need to start flossing, but I was flossing. I had no idea what the issue was. Eventually he started seeing surface cavities on my molars, to which he said it’s now or never to get on top of my oral care because once they penetrate my enamel it’s not reversible. I was able to reverse the pre-cavities with Stannous Fluoride, but even that didn’t tackle the issue of my inflamed and bleeding gums, so it was just a bandaid on a bullet hole. Fast forward to now, THIS toothbrush helped me discover that I was the problem all along. I was brushing WAY too hard!! I was completely shocked to see that when I started brushing for the first time, the app was immediately warning me to reduce my pressure. It took many consecutive weeks of practice, but I’ve finally made a habit of using the correct pressure when I brush, and my previous appointment went great. He said my gums are pink and didn’t bleed, so I must be flossing. But I told him that I always was, what the real issue was, and how I fixed it. He said you’d never convince him it was worth it to spend that much on a toothbrush until seeing results like mine. This toothbrush has taught me what I failed to learn about oral care as a child, that knowledge is priceless so I’m glad I took a chance on Oral-B. And even though my skills have improved, I always make sure to have the app open while brushing to ensure I cover 100% of my teeth’s surfaces every time I brush. I think tracking that is probably its best feature. Nevertheless, while it may be a huge cost upfront, if it saves you from having a cavity, it’s worth every penny. And it certainly saved me from a lifetime of gum-disease induced cavities and all the other problems that come with gum recession. As for the physical aspects of the toothbrush, the battery life lasts way longer than you need it to for 1 session, it’s pretty durable, but it is heavy and has a screen so I try to handle it with care anyway, it is MUCH quieter than your standard toothbrush, and as I explained above, it works fantastic. If you’ve been trying to do everything right but never get the report you want at the dentist, give this toothbrush a shot. This is great product. But I would not pay full price. I have been looking this brush for sometime before I bought it. I got this on black Friday so the price was ok. I still paid to much for a toothbrush. To be honest it has many features that you are not going to use. If you are like me. You will find a setting you like and will stick with it. Brushing my teeth is extremely important but I hope it's not the highlight of my day. It works and it works great. I do like the clock that is built into the charger. I don't see the need to download a app to set the brush up. But is you want to unlock all the features. Then you got to download the app and set up a account. Over all it is a great brush. Figured I’d give this style a try after using the ‘other’ one for several years. I like it. Seems like the rotary action works better and is easier to maneuver around the back molars. I don’t use the multiple modes, so no comment there. Brush head life is not great, think I’m getting just under a month on the first one, but that’s ok. I do like the 30 second vibe alarm, and the fact that it doesn’t auto shut off at 2 minutes. Battery life is very good and the charger is quick-very nice. General quality seems very good, only drawback to me is finding replacement brushes on the cheap…if you have a source, please post here! Read more

I'm a bit torn by this one. I have been using it for a while now, and it's definitely a great toothbrush, no doubt about it. Many of the features are things I never knew I wanted. But at the same time, it's got some features that I think are over the top and not really necessary for a toothbrush to have. The biggest positives for me are the fact that it gives you a colored light indicator to tell you if you're not using enough pressure vs the right amount of pressure vs too much. Incredibly useful feature to make sure the brush is doing the cleaning it's meant to without damaging your teeth and gums. Second would be the way it gives you a quick vibration change to tell you to change to the next quadrant of your mouth (every 30 seconds). I thought this sounded a big gimmicky, but it's actually super useful. These two combined make this the best toothbrush experience I've ever had. There's a few features that are OK, but don't really make too much of a difference to me. The charger and stand looks and feels really high end, and I must admit the way the toothbrush uses magnets to sit on top of it is pretty neat, but it almost feels like a balancing act. It's really easy to knock over. I don't have a ton of counter space in my house, so I don't prefer to leave my toothbrush sitting out like that, so I'm not really using it. It can also show you your brush time, which is cool but again I don't feel like I need it. I mostly keep it in the travel case, which is OK, but I expected something a little nicer for the price point. When you open it all the way, it tends to lean over because of the weight of the lid. I think the idea that there's a bunch of different vibration modes is cool, I'm a bit skeptical about how significant and effective the difference between each of them is, I mostly stick with the smart mode one and it's been working great for me though. The whole app and bluetooth may be useful for some people, for me it's just too much, I really don't need all that. I'm not hating on it though or letting that negatively affect my review. There's not a whole lot I dislike about this, mainly I feel like the travel case should have been a bit nicer considering the price.
