This is a must for new puppies. I took a Snuggle Puppy with me when I picked up our labrador puppy at 7 weeks old. The breeder rubbed it on the mother's back a few times for us to capture her mother's scent and we were off for a two hour ride home. She slept the whole way home on top of her puppy and slept for 5 hours the first night with just a few whimpers at the half-way mark. The ride home and a new environment really wore her out. By the third night and every night since, both my puppy and I have gotten a good night's sleep (7 hours then 9+ hours)! I think the heart beat and heating pack, along with her mother's scent, made her transition to our house go so smoothly. Both the heating packs and heart beat worked as advertised. I never replaced the battery in the hearbeat but stopped using that after a week or so when I was confident her bedtime routine was solid. Now at 14 weeks, she will take the puppy out of her kennel to play with and most nightes uses it as a pillow. The snuggle puppy is well-constructed and shows no signs of wear and tear. The tail has been chewed on daily and is still there. I could have an easy puppy but would never bring home another puppy without a Snuggle Puppy. Our nighttime temperatures will be below zero this week so I will stick a heating pack in Snuggle Puppy to help keep our puppy comfortable. Snuggle Puppy is the best invention to help a new puppy transition to their forever home. Read more

Sooo helpful! Let me tell you... the first 2 nights with a 9 week old puppy in her new home made for some sleepless nights! My husband and I needed some relief 😮💨 We found the snuggle puppy and it has helped alot!! We can at least get sleep for a couple of hours at a time during the night... 2-3 hour stretches. This adjustment period has been easier now. Not only sleep at night but the day naps too. She seems less anxious and the heartbeat seems to put her at ease. She loves it! So far I have had to wash it 2x and its still just as soft and fluffy as the day we got it. Our pup chews on it and has yet to make a hole. Read more

I got my puppy yesterday and this is, so far, the best thing I purchased. He wrestles with it and sleeps against it. He slept through the night which I totally did not expect. The toy is bigger than he is and that make the whole thing just that much cuter. I have a feeling I will be going through a lot of batteries but I think it's completely worth it. The toy is soft and so far has taken the little guys teeth with no tearing. I'll update further if he manages to rip it open or anything Update: No tearing and I did put in a hand warmer overnight to see how that worked. It made the toy warm enough to the touch to be comforting but not too hot. I'm not sure my puppy noticed or cared and I haven't done it since. He loves to wrestle with this and sleeps next to or on top of it whenever it's nap time. Update May 2017 -- He loves this toy, he still sleeps with it every night. It hasn't had a heartbeat or the warmer in years but it is still his go to sleep toy. It goes with him to boarding and on every trip. He still has the original stuffy though it doesn't have ears or eyes anymore. I had to wash it once due to an explosion in the crate, with a lot of bleach, and it fared very well. He wasn't sure about it for a few days as it didn't smell right anymore, but he soon fell in love with it again. Im very impressed with the quality as this has lasted three plus years of pretty constant mauling. Five Year Update: He still loves this toy. I keep considering getting a new one and swapping them out but it's held up surprisingly well. Seven Year Update: My neighbors got a puppy and she just cried the whole first night in the crate. I got her one of these and the difference is amazing. She hears the heartbeat and goes directly into her crate! I broke down and got my dog another one, even though this is a big pricey for the size of toy. He is in love. He has spent hours cuddling with this in the past two days. I put up a pic of the old one vs new one. I finally washed the old one and it's better, but he LOVES the new one. I was being sentimental as it was the toy I had with me when I picked him up from the breeder, but apparently he doesn't care. I will be getting more, possibly yearly, as he destroys them. off to a good start, but we just got it and put only the heartbeat in. she laid up to it pretty easily like a pillow— only reason i’m at 4 stars is because the heartbeat IS a pretty loud vibration. tried wrapping it into the little interior pillow that comes out but can still hear it. if there was more stuffing or something to wrap it in more it might help, i might try wrapping it in a sock. good size for my 4lb yorkshire terrier and super soft. easy to use and like that the heartbeat has a sticker with how to use vs having to read instructions in a paper. overall great quality so far, will report back if anything. I never write reviews on Amazon, but I have to thank Snuggle Puppy for giving me my first night of sleep since we brought our puppy home. Our puppy was living with his littermate before adoption, so he has high separation anxiety and did not like when we even left the room. I was desperate, so I ordered Snuggle Puppy at 3am while I laid on the floor next to him and wondered when this stage would end. I felt like a terrible puppy owner. The Snuggle Puppy arrived the next day and I was SHOCKED at how well it worked. He settled in with the Snuggle Puppy like he knew him from a past life. I was not even awakened throughout the night for potty, since he felt comfortable and safe in crate to hold it. Their “No Sleepless Nights” guarantee truly is a miracle! Read more

My dog is 17 years old and this heartbeat dog has helped calm her at night a lot! Once I turn it on, she sleeps with her head on it and falls right to sleep. Very grateful for this! The heartbeat is kind of loud too and vibrates so she can feel it. It’s perfect! Read more
