I bought these boots for doing yard work. These are comfortable right out of the box, nice arch support, cushy insole, soft leather, decent looking, and the black is waterproof! I was skeptical of these shoes as most that fit my reasonably short but wide feet and give me ample room for old injuries and bunions are horribly ugly and loose. I've had three pair now, and they are comfortable, and no bulkier than my normal work-boots. This is the only brand I've found that provides inserts than can be used with custom orthotics and don't make the toe box too small. Not inexpensive, but for me they are worth the comfort as I spend all day on my feet. The only complaint is that one eye hook came off my last pair before they were completely worn out, and for the price I'd like them to last a bit longer. To be fair my work is hard on shoes. Still breaking them in .. had them now for a couple of weeks. BUT ..... These are saving me. I can actually walk. For a while now, when I walk, it looks like a newborn calf trying to stand up. Really nothing sexy about that walk at alll ... HA! My posture is MUCH straighter. Have way more balance. Mt feet almost feel like the nerve damage is way less, almost like it reversed in some way. Crazy. Does not hurt my bunions. AND, I actually have stride in my walk now ... heel toe, heel toe, heel toe. Before, that was NOT happening at all. After wearing these for a couple of weeks, I actually feel safe, The overall improvement and safety this has provided so far is immeasurable. 100% Grateful that my mom gifted these to me. Thank you!
