This is honestly the best desk/portable fan I have ever used. The thin profile, and adjustable stand make it easy to use anywhere. For sleeping, I have it on it's side so the airflow is directly aimed at my pillow and head. When it's on the end table by my couch it's standing upright. The adjustable stand is amazing. Most adjustable stands have positions that they click/lock in to. This one moves smoothly, and pretty much has unlimited angles to which it can be set. Variable speeds are amazing. And, it's truly quiet. I sleep hot, and have to have a fan blowing towards my face. Low speed is really slow. The airflow is just enough for winter night time sleeping. The third speed option(there's 4) is perfect for sleeping on warm summer nights. We lost power for three hours on one of the hottest days this past summer. I used the fan on the highest setting, and it kept me from over heating. It ran consistently, with no noticeable deviation between being plugged in vs battery(rechargable). Another plus is the variety of colors to choose from. The only con is the short cord. An extra foot or two in cord length would be awesome. We got 2 of these fans 2 years ago because we were traveling to Ireland and many of the places we were staying didn't have fans. We couldn't sleep with windows open because I'm basically just allergic to the outdoors in general. Since we were outside all day, I couldn't sleep with the windows open because I needed a reprieve from the pollen. The fans helped keep us cool at night. And it was great because there also wasn't always a plug near the nightstands or beds to plug a fan in. So being able to charge them up to use at night, we'd often get 2-3 nights out of the fans depending on how high we had it. The fans also survived being shoved in various bags and not always kindly placed. They didn't break ever and still get used to this day when we're out and about. Works perfectly for my home office and small enough to take with me when I'm working abroad. The battery also allows me the flexibility to position the fan exactly where I need it. It comes with 4 fan speed settings. The USB-C connection works great because I can easily plug it in in low lighting. I had been using a small house fan but I intend to replace that with this for day to day use. It is also fairly quite in comparison to my small house fan which is much louder. In fact, I have to place that fan beneath my desk to reduce the fan noise because I'm often in virtually meetings. In contrast, I can place this fan directly on my desk because it is so quiet. I'm one of those getting-older retro nerds who has a Sony PlayStation 3 as my only gaming console in this our modern age. I purchased this fan to help cool it, as my PS3 sits inside of a console tv stand that starts to cook while the PS3 is in use. I can charge this bad boy up in a few hours, set it inside with my PS3 and it will actively cool it on the second fan speed setting for the few hours I'll game for. Size: 6.6x5.6x1.5 inches, weight: 9.3 oz, means that it's very portable -- great for trips in the car and the like. In terms of quality, I do approve of it. It doesn't feel chinsy or like I'm going to break it just by holding it. It's plastic, yes, but still premium feeling at least. And because it is not metal and does not have industrialized construction, it lends itself to being very quiet in terms of noise. I cannot call it 'whisper quiet' but it is 'plenty quiet' -- quiet enough to not be driving one batty while carrying on with your day-to-day functioning all because of a stupid fan, if you understand what I'm saying. My only real gripe is that sometimes the fan vibrations will occasionally cause the stand itself to fold up and you'll wind up with a fan blowing onto/into a surface directly instead of across it as intended. I write reviews only if something is very bad or very good; otherwise I don’t bother. This fan is amazing!!!!! It stays in place at different angles, it’s got pretty good kick even on lower speeds, you can use it plugged in while it’s charging, and the charge seems to last a decent amount of time. And it’s extremely quiet on the lower 2 speeds; very reasonable on the higher 2. It’s compact, so it doesn’t have a big footprint, and it’s lightweight. I typically keep mine in a corner of the kitchen that, despite central AC, doesn’t seem to get the best air movement. It’s great if I’m prepping food there while the oven is on.
