After trying to figure out why I kept smelling peepee smell in my house and couldn't figure out where......I step on a wet spot on my favorite rug....I smell it...I turn it over...and there it was....multiple urine spots left by my kitten who apparently loves this rug as much as I do. I was upset to say the least! Not only is this rug a unique color..it is expensive...I loved it! I was upset and put it in then garage because I couldn't bare to throw it out although I knew I had to take it from the house. I left it in the garage a couple days and then thought ...well, I wander if I could some how clean it? I reached on Amazon for products and came across this one, I ordered stand its promptly arrived. After reading others use of this product I decided washing it in my bathtub was the best choice. I filled my tub half full with cool water and approximately 3oz of the product, it bubbles a bit like a bubble bath would. I liked the smell. Kinda clean and woodsy. I placed the rug in the solution and pushed to around to soak it down under the water. I let it soak 3 hours, and wow, a lot of dirt in the water! After I finished the soak and I did movie around and squish it in the solution several times, I drained the dirty tub water and rinsed the rug with cool clean water the best I could as it is heavy when wet! I pushed the water out the best I could and placed the rug outside on 2 lawn chairs to dry. It took 2 days as it is 100 degrees here in California lol...I brought it in the house and used a special wool rug brush that I had also purchased when I bough this product . It turned out beautiful! as you can see by the picture. I smells great! No trac e of urine...it saved my rug! best $16 spent! I do recommend a rug brush as when it dries the hair is super curly, which looks neat too.....I left a little bit or curl just cause....thanks for saving my rug! Read more

Works well on a few wool sweaters I had been hesitating to wash with regular detergent, plus the other natural fiber knits I put in with them on a gentle cycle. Everything came out clean and soft with no residue. Shout out to the other reviewer who said they use this product to wash their live sheep- that was what really sold me! Read more

This is such a wonderful product that it literally turned my cashmere sweater into a newer and smoother and fluffier high-end cashmere sweater after I washed it in washing machine. All I put was only two caps of the wool wash and adjust washer to DELICATE and my cashmere sweater came out clean and nice smell. I laid it try after it. In the past I always sent my cashmere clothings to professional dry-cleaners. They didn't do as a good job. I am so glad I found this great product with the good brand Outback Gold Wool Wash. I wasted half a bottle of this and I don't want that to happen to you!! Here's the end goal: clean fur, soft feel, relaxed skin correct? You can see in my pics that what this does. Pics are of a rug that's been on the floor as a dog mat, cat lounge, and on our couch now after washing. To do that here's what you need to do. For years I've used a different product and washed over 20 skins/times, large, small, rugs, throws, dog rugs, pieces, etc. but it's expensive and I thought I'd give a local brand a try; I'm from Idaho not Australia after all ;) Fill your washer with lukewarm water. Then put your sheepskin/s in. I put one rug, two singles, whatever, don't overstuff. Agitate the wash for a minute then just let it rest a few, repeat. What you are doing here is a PRE-rinse. Why the instructions NOWHERE say this is is important, I don't know. But if you want it clean you have got to do this step. I forgot, used the required soap, the skins were disgusting and I had to start over. Basically all that lanolin just locks in the dirt. So agitate, rest, agitate, rest, spin out all that disgusting water. Then I take the much cleaner sheepskins out, and refill the wash again with tepid water (you don't want to shock them with hot or cold because that causes all kinds of problems like fur loss shrinkage etc; if your washer is newer maybe you can set the temp better than my old one and may not have to remove them. Once the washer is full, NOW add your "soap", mix it in with your hand, then add your wet skins back in. agitate, rest, agitate for 30 seconds or so, rest, etc a couple times. Let that skin soak an hour or so. 15 min as the bottle states isn't enough! After it's soaked and rested in that yummy lanolin for an hour or two, give it another short agitation no more than a minute or so, then spin it out DO NOT RINSE. You did that in the pre-rinse remember? Hang those skins out to dry on a rack or layed fur down on towels shaking occasionally. I've not used a brush for years, and they come out fine. But using one before you wash and after they are dry gives your skins a nice fluffy look. Good luck. This product doesn't smell after they are dry and does a decent job cleaning. Read more

This is the best liquid laundry soap for washing cashmere. I have many cashmere and wool sweaters, some as old as 20 years. I use this product to refresh the older sweaters and maintain the newer ones. I use a few capful on the cold gentle “delicate”cycle in my washing machine and it works wonders. Just lay the sweater flat on a towel and smooth it into shape to dry. I save a ton on drycleaning too. Read more
