The voice acting isn't very good and won'twin any awards, but I have definitely heard much worse. The graphics are surprisingly good, for a lower budget game. The characters look decent and the environment is BEAUTIFUL. Very colorful and vibrant, which is what I like. Before I get into anything else, I just want to say that the jetpack in this game definitely contributes to making it much more fun to traverse around and explore. You are able to jet around like a bootleg Iron Man. You can do double and triple jump boosts, zip around super fast just a few feet from the ground, jet straight up into the sky, and even glide around like in the Batman Arkham games or the most recent Zelda games. The jetpack made this game way better than it would have been otherwise. There's plenty to do, even if some of it is a bit repetitive. Many great games have some redundant and repetitive missions/quests here and there, so it isn't much of a problem for me. Beautiful open world for you to explore with some gathering of various plants and ingredients from enemies to be used later on for upgrading your armor, shield (you have an actual space shield that you use for blocking and your melee attacks), and weapons and making various different potions. There are also plenty of upgrades for your guns, so you can essentially customize how they fire. Want your rifle to fire more slowly, but do more damage? Just switch some thing around, and voila. Want your pistol to essentially be an auto pistol that does more damage the closer it gets to overheating? Done and done. For a lower budget game, it was a lot of fun and I quite enjoyed it. The story is nothing to write home about and the voice acting is mediocre, but I didn't buy this for a riveting story. I bought it because it was a decent looking, cheap, trophy game that I could chip away at before I buy Space Marine 2 and Astro Bot later in the month. Overall, it was fun and I had fun with it. I bought it on sale for $30 and it was definitely worth it. Read more

Freedom-filled sci-fi adventure with some rough edges

The planet Adelpha is beautifully crafted, and traversing it with your jetpack or glider feels really fun there’s a genuine sense of freedom. I like how you can customize your weapons with modules for different combat styles. However, there are some issues: I ran into frame rate drops in dense areas, and enemy behavior feels repetitive at times. Still, for a AA game with big ambitions, it’s a great pick. Read more
