What an upgrade from traditional bulbs. Since this is a retrofit, it would have been nice for the outer ring to be more like 6.5" in order to cover the paint mark left behind by the old one. It was exactly what it said it was though. Read more
Spent hours trying to get the item to work. Finally got someone from technical support to assist in the setup only to find out from them the app doesn't work. So you have a smart plug that has no way to set schedules, no way to turn the items plugged in on off. Totally useless unless you want a short extension cord. Read more
I ordered this plug to control a small plug in garden fountain I have. I am happy with it now that I have it set up, but the set up process was very difficult. There is a QR code on the box that links your phone to the app, but there are no instructions included in the box at all. I downloaded the app just fine, but when it asked for an email or phone number to send a verification code to so I could create an account, it took several tries before one of the codes worked and then only after I switched from my phone number to my email. Once the verification code issue was worked through, I tried to "add a device" at least four times. I would follow the instructions on the screen and think I was finished, but when I would go back to the home screen to try the plug, the device would not show up. It took several attempts with a lot of trial and error before I was able to get my account created and my plug working. Now that it is working, I am happy with it. It works well with the app and I like the bonus wifi extender feature, since the plug is on my porch and I like to sit out there in the evenings and use my phone and tablet. It is nice to have a signal that is a bit stronger. It would be nice, too, if the rubber plug cover was attached to the main unit so it can't be dropped or misplaced. Overall, I am happy with this plug now that the app is working and it is connected, but the app definitely needs some improvement with regards to setting up the devices. Read more
Recent California rain soaked my backyard's old electric socket box and burned the plug adapter. Glad I found this weatherproof + wifi extender adapter. Now wifi reception has extended to my back yard and weatherproof adapter is definitely SAFER than the old adapter.. Read more

The overall quality of this WiFi controlled outdoor smart plug is good, but the omission of Alexa/Google Home compatibility really limits the usefulness of this particular smart plug. Most competing smart plugs on the market are compatible with Alexa and Google Home. If you want to integrate an outdoor fixture into a smart home that uses Alexa or Google Home, this isn't the outdoor smart plug for you. If you simply want to get smart capability using the native app or to set up schedules that you will then leave alone, this smart plug would do the trick. Read more
