From the moment I put this brace on, the size I chose (standard) fit perfectly, was comfortable and definitely helped with my pain! This is a very well made brace and would purchase another if I would need one for my left wrist in the future. Read more
Researching the internet, I have intersection syndrome. Pain 3-4 inches above the wrist on the thumb side. This brace addresses that, in that this brace does not lock the thumb and extends from the base of the thumb 8 inches up the forearm. It is well sewn. Fits comfortably. Has 2 braces built in: 1 brace fits under the forearm and wrist, curves over the palm, then curves into the cup of the hand. It is very stiff, but very comfortable. #2 brace runs from the bottom of the index finger down the length of the brace, not as stiff or as wide as bace #1. Brace is washable, air dry. The potential weak part may be the thumb loop. I figure if it lasts 6 months, good enough. Time to replace the brace anyway if still needed. Read more
The surgeon gave me a Breg wrist brace that was too long for my short arm. I also have a Corflex brace for the other wrist for a previous sprain. Construction wise they're very similar and good but I couldn't find a Small in either one so looked at the Versa-Fit. They had an X-small and a Standard. Tried the X-small as it said it fit up to 6.25" wrists, which I have, but it was too tight and the thumb hole pinched. Took a chance on the Standard and it fits perfectly. It says it goes up to 9" but I find that very hard to believe. The differences are: the metal band is narrower on the Versa than the Breg and the Corflex and the velcro strip that holds the straps is one continuous piece that snags clothing in the gaps. Solved the velcro problem by cutting small pieces off the straps and putting them in the spaces not covered by the straps. The metal band is also removable and can be bent to fit the individual curve of your wrist. All in all it does the job for half the price and would highly recommend. Read more
But he meant when he said it's very supportive I had some kind of pain in my meaty part of my thumb and wrist and it really was supportive you will probably have to cut off the excess velcro which is fine it's not a big deal just pull it tight enough to be comfortable and then cut it off Read more
