This is an oversized, long torso fit, & the 65% cotton/35% polyester feels like linen. Slightly textured, a bit of a loose weave, & the oversized fit should allow good air circulation. The first thing I thought of when trying on the shirt was that this looks like a good warm weather vacation shirt. The 2nd was my mom's voice remarking "it looks so clean & neat." She liked stripes, as do I, especially stripes on white background. In her day, saying something looked clean & neat was a compliment, & it is for this blouse as well. The long sleeves look more formal when down, with the collar buttoned to the 2nd top button, a good work shirt for a slightly chilly office. With the sleeves rolled up, buttoned 2-3 buttons down the placket makes for a "My suit is underneath & I'm off to the beach" casual air. The pocket is huge, so handy in it's casual mode. Fits my phone easily if my pants pockets are too small. The striped fabric has the seams in the right places for matching, another sign of quality workmanship; none are mismatched, making the shirt look more sleeker. No washing instructions are included; the cotton content says wash on gentle or regular, w/cold or warm water, & dry on low. The product page says it is wrinkle-free, non-iron, but that's not so. It wrinkles when worn, especially since it's oversized. But I'm betting the material is somewhat wrinkle-free, only smooth when it comes out of the dryer. For work, I'd give it a quick iron/steam to make it look neater. For casual, I might not try so hard. It seems well-made, & seams are serged & stitching is tight enough for strength. I will get a lot of use out of this shirt since it lends itself to both work & play. It's loose enough to wear as an overshirt as well. After growing up in a time when this style of shirt was pretty much only available in 100% cotton, then trying them in different manmade fabrics, remember the 70's, I realized that cotton was the only fabric that should be used for button ups. This shirt is not 100% cotton, but feels and looks like it is, and so far I really, really like this shirt! It does not loose shape and with the smaller % of polyester, does not let it wrinkle like 100% cotton does, win win. It is still rather stiff and not too soft yet, but that will come with washing and wear, and is so worth it. I am happy to say it fits across my rather large chest and does not pull or pucker at the buttons, laying flat as it should. It easily washes in cold water, and hang dries wrinkle free. It can easily be dressed up for a work function, everyday work wear, or paired with jeans as a stand alone shirt or thrown over a tank top as a light jacket, or with leggings, the tail is long enough to cover my behind. It breathes well like cotton, so no overheating on hot days. The sleeves are long on me, but I have short arms and that is easily remedied by rolling up the sleeves and cuffing them, which is how I usually wear button ups anyhow. I purchased this striped button-down shirt as a birthday gift for my mother, and my initial impression is that it’s well made but much heavier than I expected. The material feels quite thick and stiff right out of the package, which to me makes it seem better suited for cooler weather rather than a light, everyday top. Because of the weight and structure of the fabric, it has more of a “sleep shirt” or lounge shirt feel than a flowy, casual blouse. The wrinkle-free aspect is nice in theory, but the stiffness takes away from the feel I was hoping for. I’m optimistic that after a few washes it may soften up and feel more comfortable and flexible, and if that happens, I’ll come back and update my review. On the positive side, the design itself is attractive and versatile—the stripes, V-neck, and overall cut are flattering and easy to style for different occasions. For now, I’d say this is a good option if you’re looking for a thicker, more structured shirt for cooler days, but be aware that it may not feel soft and relaxed right away. Read more

This is a thick, comfy boyfriend style button down shirt. The shirt is 65% cotton and 35% polyester. It has a relaxed/ oversized fit. I am a true size small wearing a size small and there is plenty of room for a thermal shirt underneath and yet it tucks in and looks dressy. It works great with jeans, dress pants or even as a cover-up at the beach. It washed up well. I hang my shirts to dry because it helps with wrinkles. Read more

I love it! It’s like an oversized boyfriend’s shirt. Awesome material bold stripes, I wish I had it in every pattern and color. It’s a sturdy material, well made shirt. Roll the sleeves up or down another four seasons shirt. I’m wearing this under a sweater with wide leg khakis and booties. A perfect work or after work outfit.
