Very straightforward. The battery came halfway charged, I charged it for about 3 hours, till it was fully charged. I measured the car battery at 2.96V (2.4L SUV, 450 amp battery), connected the jump starter and turned it on, waited for the green light to be solid, and then I heard a few clicks, which is normal. Turned the car key, to my surprise, it started right up. I really didn't think it would work that easily. After I disconnected it all 4 charge indicator lights still light up, but It can be from 75% - 100% charge, still great. I tested the flashlight with my light meter app at 1 foot away, and it comes at about 700 LUX which does come close to the 600 Lumen it advertises (not a comprehensive test, but it is bright). The pack alone weighs about 0.61lb or 278g, if you're interested. And 26.64Wh of capacity is labeled on the back. The cable length is about right to charge the car battery, good prongs, easy to carry as it comes with a black bag, and it really is lightweight, and built solid as far as I can tell, I will come back and update this if it fails. On a Full charge, this unit can handle 8 Jump starts. My battery was super dead and I could not afford a $200 Battery so I got this. The OXILAM Jumper started my car instantly after turning the key and its small and comes with a carry bag so you can put it away in the Center Console or Glove Compartment easily. 10/10 Definitely recommend. This is a must need and everyone’s car. My battery was so dead that I left. It charged to another car for over 30 minutes and still couldn’t get it to charge my battery. I dropped my battery off at AutoZone and they told me it was depleted and then I needed to buy a new one. It has a set of 4 LEDs that, when the on/off switch is set to on or the device is being charged, show the level of charge. But what does each level mean? Does one LED mean over 20% or over 25% or what? Instructions say to not use it when it is charged below 20%, but what indicates that? It arrived with an unstable initial charge level. I expect that is the state its gets into if left too long without recharging: It showed 3 LEDs, but using the big LED (flashlight) for just a few seconds reduced the number to 2, a few more seconds to one, then zero. I charged it overnight (don't know how long it actually needs, but it was late when I received it). Next day, I used it to start my car. It started instantly. So working one out of one uses. Just used it for the first time and it worked. I was actually surprised at how small it is. My other one is like 4xs bigger and apparently this one has 4k amps vs my other one is only 1k. Once you use it make sure to charge it again soon as the single jump will eat up about 50% of the battery and it may not work for a second jump later if you need that. Also make sure of your battery is extra dead to leave it charging for a few minutes before you crank the engine. In some cases I've had to wait 20 min before the battery could be revived but usually it works right away. Read more
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I bought this product in December of 2025 after waking up to a dead car battery. I charged it & put it in my car in the event I was ever stranded on the side of the road. Imagine my surprise when I got stranded at the store last night only to find that it didn't work! Works like a charm. I've had to use it on my motorcycle since I've bought it and it is very dependable. It's not bulky and the cable length is just right for a motorcycle.
