The best egg beater, period. Effortless for the user. Capable of whipping the eggs into a foam if you want. Bottom half detaches with a button to make cleaning simple. Had mine for years. This one was a gift for my daughter. Read more

This purchase is a gift so my review is based on the same product that I have used for several months, mostly for making whip cream from heavy cream. This beater is so convenient and easy to use. Just pick it up, put it into the bowl with whatever you want to mix and crank away. It's really easy to crank too fast and splatter your food around the room so control yourself. Despite it being sold as an egg beater I've never used it for that because I always forget about it and I usually just mix up my eggs in the pan as I scramble them. I used it last week to make a cake and it was real easy to use and did a great job of getting clumps out of the mixture. As it all began to mix well it got pretty thick and more difficult to mix but this beater handled it well with only slightly more force on the handle. Cleaning is not so easy as there are 8 blades and the blade support to clean. I find that licking the remaining whip cream off the blades as well as I can is enjoyable and delicious and makes less mess to clean off the beaters. While the remaining stuff on the blades is still fresh I run it under hot water and spray with the kitchen faucet sprayer until it looks clean. The put it in the dishwasher to make sure it's cleaned well. The beater assembly detaches from the motor easily so it can be popped into washer and you can also remove each of two beater blades completely for washing. I think it works great and that's why I bought another to give to someone. I recommend this product based on my personal use. Read more

UPDATE: Wow, this thing lasted 9 years. And I can still say it's the best hand-held egg beater on the market. A plastic tip finally broke off (one of the pinchers where the individual beater snaps into place). 9 years - not as long as my old beater, but I'm back and I've bought this again because it's far superior to use. I used mine at least every 2 days. Some days twice a day. It's just that handy, and that easy to clean. My original review is below: I use(d) my old style manual beater quite a bit, and decided to order the OXO Egg Beater in hopes it would do a better job and be easier to clean. I've since tossed out the old one. I'm `one of those' who can't abide egg whites and yolks not being perfectly incorporated in scrambled eggs (though I do enjoy poached, easy over, etc., so go figure!). These do the job, unlike the old style. These are also so much easier on your hands - they meant it when they labeled it `Good Grips'. Ergonomic is the word that comes to mind for the entire design. Cleanup is also far easier with no `egg gunk' left behind in crevices or hard to reach places. I've hand washed and dishwasher washed them, and these are super easy to clean. Hand washing takes very little time, and unlike the old style and you don't pull these out of your drawer and wonder if perhaps that tiny bit of dried stuff you just can't quit get washed is unsafe. They also take up less room and store more easily than the older style manual beaters - this came as a pleasant surprise. The Oxo Good Grips Egg Beater work great for scrambled eggs, French toast and pancake batters, egg whites, whipping cream, instant pudding, and all liquid-y mixtures. I wouldn't use these for cake batters or anything thick. These are a must-have in our kitchen! Read more

Works well, great feature that it comes apart. It does not aerate the eggs like the old fashioned one, but this is a good substitute. Read more

Fun easy to use instead of a traditional wire whisk. Great for eggs, gravy mixes etc. Fantastic addition to the kitchen. Read more

I love being able to just pull this beater out of my cabinet and go! It’s so easy to clean-I just beat a glass of warm soapy water so all parts are submerged, rinse it off and set aside to dry. My grandchildren can safely help me mix ingredients while baking with no worries. I just bought a second one and gave it to my daughter for Christmas. Read more

I love that this can be taken apart and placed in the dishwasher. Just make sure to use the plastic setting and/or the top rack as with most plastic items. This replaced one that warped only slightly yet enough to affect usability. If my new one warps I will buy another. I like the design and function that much. Read more
