My husband and I have come to love this brand and when we need something, we see if they make a version of it before we look at others. This was no different. The size is perfect for a bread box. It's airtight and keeps the bread fresh. The lid is super easy to use, seals easy, comes apart nicely to clean, and stacks well with like containers to make organization a breeze. Or you can leave it lying flat on the counter like any other bread box because it has a nice appearance. It's very sturdy and seems like it will last a long time with normal use. We live in the country with fields all around us so it's important to keep everything edible in storage containers of some sort. I have several types and so far, OXO and Comsaf are my favorite brands that seem to last the longest and look amazing. I recommend this product greatly. My life (or at least my pantry!) is so much more organized with these containers! They are easy to use as the lid pops on and off and seals airtight. They are the perfect size for a 5-10 lb bag of sugar or flour, and stay fresh. They can store so many different types of food. I was given a three-piece set more than 10 years ago and still use it. I use these OXO Containers to store my horses dry mash and horse cookies in my barn locker. I am quite impressed with how they hold up in such extreme temperatures and conditions! They are airtight and keep everything dry and mold free. My barn (and most barns) are not temperature controlled so they get super hot and humid in summer and then very cold in winter. The mash and cookies stay just as fresh as when I open a new bag. They are rat resistant which is an HUGE plus. Before you say ewww, all barns have rats. It’s prime conditions for them! They like the grain and hay. Some even eat horse poo. Disgusting, I know! What is most annoying is when you buy a new plastic bag of horse cookies or mash and over night the rats will raid the bag. Once everything is poured into my OXO containers, they are 100% rat resistant! Love that! I have had some of my containers for 5+ years and they have held up beautifully! Super high quality! As far as size, I can get a good amount of mash and cookies into them. I can’t stack them as I have limited space in my barn locker but I can fit quite a few on my top shelf. I have a total of six of these for different flours and sugar. Love em. Easy to open and seal with the button on top. The lid can come apart to clean and the clear sides let you see what's inside. Get the tall square ones for flour, 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" x 9 1/2". you can slide a full 5 pound bag in it, and the rectangular one for a 4 pound bag of sugar. That one's 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 9 1/2". Read more
