I've tried a few different sink caddies and none of them really worked well. They tend to get grimy and collect water, and so many are not really designed to hold the types of cleaning tools I use. I was excited to try this new one, and it did not disappoint! It turned out to be the perfect dishwashing caddy for us. First, it's stainless steel and the top is dishwasher-safe. (Not sure about the plastic base piece.) Pretty and functional. That was a no-brainer. The only thing that would make this better - and I hope the company considers doing in future versions - is to make the base stainless as well. Or maybe glass. Second, it catches water drips in the tray below, and can be poured out without taking every tool out of the caddy. That's something no other sink-side caddy I've seen can do. I've actually never had to do that, though, because the tools sit on a raised piece with holes, so the water evaporates pretty quickly. Third, it has space for all of the tools we use regularly - a sponge, a bottle brush, a dish brush, and a round dish soap bottle or solid dish soap. And the design allows them all to dry in the optimal position. Brushes stand up on their handles, and the sponge is vertical, so it dries faster. If you prefer to use a Swedish dish cloth, this stand could work for that as well. The design is pretty universal and versatile. I put this whole thing inside a larger ceramic tray to make it look even prettier, but otherwise, it's doing all the things I've ever wanted from a dish tool caddy - and more. I don't see myself replacing this until the plastic base falls apart, which I hope is not for a very long time. If it holds up, it will truly be a buy-it-for-life item! (Not quite zero waste, unfortunately, due to the plastic base.) Read more

I love this! This is one of my favorite finds on Amazon! I have tried many other sink caddies. The ones with a suction cup fall off the side of the sink or always seem to be in the way. I've used other plastic holders on the back of the sink that would often fill up with water or would easily fall over. I also tried the open mouth ceramic frog type, which again is always full of water and only holds one item. This is hands down the best sink caddy I have used! It holds my sponge wand, a bottle brush as well as a sponge and scrubby. When the base fills with water it comes out dribbles out from the little spout on the side or you can pick the whole thing up and tip it slowly to empty it. No need to take everything off first. It also comes apart for easy emptying and cleaning. This is well made and attractive and it stays in place. This is a great purchase and worth the extra money! Read more

Bottom Line First: I like the OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Sink Caddy. It is large enough for a selection of brushes and sponges. It can fit near some sinks and has a clear plastic area to collect water that may drip from your sponges. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><> In making the decision to buy a Sink Caddy there are usually a few things you have to decide about based on what works for you. A small caddy will hold one or two items in place, allow air to circulate around things like wet sponges and having no if they have an open bottom and if inside the sink rime water drain from them and into your sink not onto you counter. Being small it may not hold all of the sponges, and scrubbers you own and larger items like handled brushes may not fit anywhere. A larger caddy may not fit in this same area and either it drains water onto your counter or has some kind of place where water stays until you can empty it out. With either item if it is metal, where it comes into contact with any other metal something is going to corrode. The OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Sink Caddy is almost large enough for the too many cleaning items I tend to have in use. It could be made to fit inside my sink rim were I to reduce clutter around my sink. In short it is my fault that I cannot get the best use out of this caddy. This is where the better design of this caddy comes to my aid. It has enough for two cleaning wands and will hold wands from any of several makers, not just from Good Grips. There is space for two wet sponges allowing space for air to circulate and a round area for a plastic or metal heavy duty scrubber. More than enough room for a smarter run kitchen. It also has an attached plastic fitting under the caddy so fitted as to collect any water that drips from your cleaning gear. The use of clear plastic means that 1. You can monitor the water level and empty as necessary 2. It is detachable so that you can clean it. (It is a good idea to clean any caddy from time to time) 3. The plastic keeps the caddy from contacting other metals reducing corrosion. The one problem I have had with this piece is that the fit to the rest of the caddy is super tight. SO far I have not been able to detach the parts and so I tip out collected water. The bad news is that this makes it a tad tricky for those occasional caddy cleanups. These are not huge problems and the fit may not be this tight on yours. I had been looking for a kitchen sink caddy for a while, the OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Sink Caddy seems to suit me. Easy to clean by literally just rinsing it through the top holes with hot water so that it runs from the drainage spout underneath. You don’t need to remove the base but if you do want to that’s easy too. Really neat looking and very simple to use. I find it great for holding a dish cloth/dish sponge at the front, but most of it it takes up less space than my previous set up and looks better as it (almost) matches the sink. Happy I bought it and would recommend over plastic or glass. Read more
