From the beginning, from when and where I first stuck this to my bathroom wall, it has not fallen off or budged at all. I liked it so much that I bought a second one, and put my phone on it. Now I have a tv/radio in my shower, and it's great (and obviously strong)!! The soap that I had originally used it for was Neutrogena glycerin bar soap. It's impossible to leave that sitting on any surface that doesn't drain properly. This dish held and drained very well, so if you are going to use it for its normal purpose, I highly recommend it for that, too. Obviously when the water dries in it, there'll be a little film, but it's easy enough to clean with your bare hands or soft buskin brush (anything that won't scratch it). Read more

I really wanted to like this product; however, it would not stay adhered to my shower wall. It kept falling down after about 20 minutes (even though there was nothing in the cup). So I deducted 1 star for this. I decided to keep the product because it adhered well to my bathroom mirror instead and holds my heavy electric toothbrush and toothpaste. I like the design of this soap dish. The dish slotted bottom ensures your bar soap doesn't sit in water. I've had the soap dish drop from the shower wall multiple times, even though the suction connection is strong. Read more

This is a nice heavy duty cup that stays well on the tiled shower stall. Occasionally, the section cup part comes loose from the tile and it falls to the floor, but is nice and heavy duty and has not broken. Read more

I own a lot of OXO products. They are very well made. I recently saw these new soap holders with the improved suction design and not only are they good looking, the suction is way better than the old design. I ended up purchasing 2 of these to put side by side. One for the soap and one for a sponge and razor to let them dry out each day. It is true that the chrome metal portion will rust over time, but it's not that noticeable and when it does, it will be time to replace it when it's too unsightly. Sure it would be great if they didn't rust at all, but I have NEVER found any shower caddy or holder to be able to withstand all the moisture and humidity in the shower, despite what it says on the box. That is chemistry for you when metals contact water. If you want to go all plastic, you will sacrifice some sturdiness and looks. Read more
