These pills come in capsule form, are easy to swallow and have no taste or smell. A serving size is two pills. They contain 800 mg of hydrolyzed collagen peptides which is not as much as I normally take. In the ingredients list, it says it contains “coloring,” which is weirdly unspecific. Is that an artificial dye? I have a lot of questions about the manufacturing of these pills. On the bottle, they say they are manufactured in the US and it says that on the listing page as well. But then on their website and also on the listing page, they talk about their manufacturing plant in New Zealand where the company is based. On the website it says they have honorary certifications from the FDA, HACCP and GMP. Also, they don’t specify that they use 3rd party testing, so I assume they don’t. I just feel like I need more explanation and transparency. The pills contain fish (tilapia) so if you are allergic, beware. You get a one month supply. The bottle I received expires 8/25/26. I got this because I take Collagen for the skin benefits it may possibly have. Starting about our late 20's usually we start losing some of our collagen and that of course may have unpleasant effects with how our skin looks. Given enough time the collagen loss can become apparent with our skin health possibly. Thankfully it is thought we can offset that loss possibly by supplementing with it. This has a type 1 collagen that is from Marine Collagen ( fish). It's a type of collagen I prefer because I like others think it does pretty good possibly with facial skin. I think that may be one of the reasons why it is usually a bit pricey. Seeing that I like to get about 15 grams daily of collagen I start my day off with a powder form to get most of my collagen from that. And before bed I like 2 to 3 grams in select collagen to get the amounts needed to reach my daily goal. I try to make sure it's the best collagen I use hoping while I sleep my body uses it. And I think this brand will work very well with that. The first reason for that is that this actually has Elastin in it. That's what makes our skin have elasticity and remain taut. This is only the second product I personally have seen that has that ingredient ( Elastin) in it. I take that from another brand and it has about 30 mgs in each cap vs the 4 mgs in two of these capsules. But that other brand is twice the cost of this product at the time of this review. The other reason I an impressed with this product is because they actually listed the dalton weight to be around 1000 daltons. You'll notice this is hydrolyzed which is pretty much the standard now imo. The reason it's hydrolyzed is so that it's hopefully broken down small enough so our bodies can use it. It is thought the smaller it is,,, the more that may get used possibly. It's so small it's measured in molecular weight called 'Daltons'. I see many brands saying low molecular weight but not stating what it is (the weight). So kudos to this brand for being the first that I have personally seen. I would hope very much here forward other brands would list their dalton weight ( and include elastin) so that we can compare who has the smallest. I certainly would pay more for very low dalton weight. If you are new to collagen don't be in a rush expecting results because imo it's super slow. Perhaps three to six months differences may possibly be observed imo. Especially with a healthy diet as well as other supplements included imo. I've been taking it well over 5 years and super happy with the difference it has made for me. I did not see where this was third party lab tested ( like my other brand) but I do see the GMP indicator for good manufacturing practices. These were easy to take and I had no sides.
