Ozeri Precision II Body Weight Scale 440 lbs Step-on Bath Scale with Weight Change Detection

UPDATE AFTER MONTS OF USE: updated on October 2, 2021 ================================= ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! Here is what is my experience after few months of use = I absolutely love the huge display, the bright easy readable digits that I can see without any effort. No need for glasses, no need to turn on the light in the ambient room or even dark bathroom as you can see easily the digits. = The colors! I love the colors of different display. When you step on the scale and it is doing your current weight reading - it displays the LCD in BLUE! .. stay on the scale and wait till it blinks three times.. then get off.. and now watch the magic happen.. if you gained a pound or even a fraction of the pound,, it will show you in red that amount.. example.. +2lbs or + 15 lbs.. or + 0.2 lbs.. or + 0.8 etc.. but if you lost the weight.. it will show you the exact amount with the green background... yey! so minus 0.2lbs.. or be it 2 lbs or what have you.. It is easy to check.. just step on the weight fully dressed, then get off.. and then step on undressed.. and it will show you how much less do you weight. Fun. = So easy to keep clean. It is sleek and gorgeous and just dusting and wipe with wet towel or touch of vinegar does the trick entirely. = I love that you don't have to double deep it so to speak to get the weight.. I used to have wonderful high end Sharper Image scale but you had to wake it up with a foot before stepping on the scale first.. wait for 888..wait for 0.0 and only then you could step on it once it calibrated itself every single time. with this scale NO NEED TO WAIT>> you just STEP ON IT and get the reading within few seconds... = easy to use.. here are the steps to weight yourself 1. step on the scale (no need to wake it up by touching with your foot like other scales) 2. the scale wakes up instantly and shows the blue display and is calculating.. within few seconds.. maybe 3 to 5 you got the reading. Don't move while it is reading.. the scale displays your actual current waight. 3. Now you got two options.. a) you can gt off of it and it will keep the numbers for you for quite some time so you can take a good look at your success.. and then after some time it will turn off automatically as in.. the display will go dark.. and it goes to sleep.. b) when you step on the scale you can stay there for few more seconds .. and the scale will blink THREE TIMES.. stay still.. and let it blink.. once it will blink and goes steady again.. step off the scale and marvel.. now you see if your weight changed from the last time you stepped on it.. If it display red and a number - you gained that much if it displays green and a number - you lost that much. It is absolutely perfect and great motivator because seeing that difference even in 0.2 parts of the lb... that you lost makes you want to loose even more as every oz counts. Love it and came to get another one for the second level so I can motivate myself before visiting the kitchen :) I really love it, it is beautiful, nicer then in pictures. Pleasure to stand on it as it is not small, it is very roomy and accommodating. The light is so bright you can easily see it and it is beautiful color and brightness. It is very accurate. It goes by 2 oz. increments so very good idea even if you eat small portion it immediately shows you in the reading. Looks really nice in the bathroom. Very happy with it easy to clean easy to read very accurate very easy to use, just installed batteries and step on. you don't have to tap it before you stand on it, it reads instantly, just step on it and it activates and gives you the reading yes, awesome and magical. This digital bathroom scale is so nice and definitely well made. It is very attractive looking and I don't have a problem leaving it out in my bathroom. The top is covered with tempered glass which is a safety glass and it is much stronger than normal glass. The scale goes up to 440 pounds and with the tempered glass you don't have to worry about it breaking and shattering upon standing on it. I really like that all you have to do is step up on the scale. You don't have to touch it first or use a button to turn it on. It also automatically turns off within 10 seconds after you step off the scale. The next time you step onto the scale your current weight will be displayed for 6 seconds. Then it will show if you have gained or lost weight. If you've gained weight it will show how much you've gained with a red color. If you've lost weight it will show how much you've lost with a green color. In order to do this the scale stores your weight amount in it's memory. If you want to erase the weight that's been stored you simply remove and reinsert the batteries. It operates by using 2 AAA batteries which are included. This is a bonus because most battery operated products you have to provide your own batteries. There is a button that you push on the back of the scale that switches between pounds and kilograms. There are also several error messages that will appear on the screen to insure that you are using the scales properly. The product looks fine, just as pictured, and functions adequately enough. I bought it on sale ($21.95), and it came with the calipers and retractable tape measure. Obviously this product won't perform well enough to be used by NASA or anything, but for someone looking for a basic digital scale that gives a ballpark measurement, this works just fine. You may need to step on it two or three times and average the readings, because in my case, consecutive measurements will sometimes vary by up to a pound or so, but I don't expect this would be a problem for anybody, unless you're a professional wrestler/fighter or something, and desperately need to know your weight to the nearest 1/5 of a pound. (1/5 Of a pound, by the way, is the most precise this scale will get.) I haven't tested it with an object of known weight, however my weight on this scale matches well to another digital scale I have access to. Not perfect, of course, but good enough for me. The tape measure is nice, because the end of the tape locks into the base like a bicycle brake line, and works very well for measuring circumference (waist, hips, arms, chest, etc.) The calipers, however, don't work properly, and don't "click" into place like they should. Since they were basically freebies, and they weren't the reason I ordered the product, however, this didn't really matter much. Overall, not a bad product, especially for the price, definitely 4/5 in my opinion. *****UPDATE****** After using this scale for a few weeks, the consistency of the measurements has improved. It will now give me the same reading multiple times in a row. I am increasing the rating from 4/5 to 5/5 for this reason. Read more
