So, like many people, I think I put on some pounds during the pandemic. But I avoided stepping on the scale and weighing myself because I knew the (presumably high) number would just stress me out and give me anxiety. I know I need to lose some weight because my clothes were feeling tight, and a few stretch marks appeared (eek!). I started doing some intermittent fasting and changing up my diet and fitness routines, but I wondered if I was making any progress, and if so, how much. I felt as though I could tailor my routine better if I could measure how much progress I was making by doing certain things. But on the other hand, I also still didn't want to know my weight--I know it's just a number, but honestly, I'm just not mentally ready to look at it yet. So I had a dilemma. How can I measure progress without actually knowing my starting weight...? I did a lot of brainstorming, and I looked online and found some fancy numberless scales that do exactly that, but they run $100+. Then I found this scale and came up with an ingenious idea. I bought it and layered on some masking tape to cover the top portion of the LED display (to cover where it displays your weight) and on the bottom left side (to cover where it displays the BMI) and kept the bottom right side open. Then I set it up, and ta-da! It works perfectly. I step on it each morning, and it tells me if I lost/gained weight (1-day, 3-day average, and 7-day average) and how many pounds. So now I know if I'm trending in the right direction or not, which is all I care about right now, but I can't actually see my weight itself. :) And this solution only cost me $24. So someday in the future when I'm feeling healthy again and less stressed out, I'll take that masking tape off; but for right now, I'll remain in ignorant bliss, just focusing on moving in the right direction, until I feel comfortable enough facing the actual weight numbers again. I previously bought a Camry scale, BIG mistake. It had a cheap feel to it, even though it looked kind of cool. It lasted 3 years, but it would give different readings within seconds apart. I put up with it all that time, then finally it just got stuck on a certain weight. I threw it out. Don't buy that brand. I read the reviews on this and took a chance. I'm glad I did. I really like it. It has an expensive feel and look to it and feels sturdy (unlike the Camry, which was wobbly). I got the black one. It is compact and fits under my sink and looks nice. It was very simple to set up and it is very detailed on the height (I put in 5'5".8). It weighed me correctly (I checked with other scales at different places). It weighs in precise increments, as well. A very cool feature is that it remembers you and shows if you lost or gained weight, recording the last 7 weigh-ins for you to look at if you want. I like this incentive. I bought it used, damaged box, in order to save a few bucks, although I think the price is very good. It looks and works perfectly. I am hoping it outlasts my previous scale. This scale was awesome for awhile. The color coding weight tracking made it easy to monitor weight fluctuations for everyone in the household. It has since descended into madness. I step on it now and it displays a grossly inflated weight. Not to worry, step on again and I just lost 10 pounds! Step off and it leaves 2 or 3 pounds on the display. Of course, this is assuming I can hold as still a rock for 10 seconds. For the price, I guess a year was an OK run, but I would say that reliability and accuracy are pretty important in a measuring device. This just doesn't have it. Oh, and I tried changing the batteries and making sure the floor was level, so don't bother pointing that out. *Update: Ozeri reached out to me and sent a replacement scale that is working flawlessly so far. I hope it holds up because I am a big fan of this scale's interface. I definitely appreciate Ozeri standing by their product. So despite the experience I had with the first one, don't hesitate to take a chance with them. Read more

This scale is the tops. Love the ability to monitor your BMI along with your weight. I have found that this scale is very correct with weight management as it is in line with doctors visit weigh ins. Nice sleek and stylish glass top which makes it easy to wipe down, and does not take up a lot of room wherever you put it. Very easy to program - just follow the instructions that come with it. One recommendation that I found helpful from other feedback is to change the batteries out that come with the scale. Easy to read digital numbers. Readout will show red for weight gain, and green for weight loss. This is also very helpful for keeping track of fluid weight gain fluctuations. Keeps track of the last three weigh ins so you have a record. Also, for those of us that have used other scales in the past that you need to tap with your foot to turn on. You only need to step on this scale and let it do its job. Very happy with this purchase, and this has been the best scale ever that I have used. Would highly recommend this company and its product.
