I really like this smart ring. I mainly got it because I don't like wearing my smart watch while I'm sleeping and wanted a way to track my sleep. For similar periods of time it tracked things like heart rate, steps, etc on par with my Apple watch so I would say it's fairly accurate. It is waterproof and I usually take it off when I'm in the shower but sometimes forget, and there have been no issues with it. The battery seems to last about a week and it seems to be pretty durable. It was very easy to set up and works with a smartphone app. The information in the app seems to be very detailed. I removed 1 star for 2 reasons. First, the sizing is off. My ring size is typically a 6. The smallest size available was a 7 so I got that figuring I'd wear it on my middle or even first finger. The 7 was a little bit big on my ring finger but would not get over my knuckle on my middle finger. So I would strongly suggest that you size up. Secondly, while there is a notification that the ring needs to be recharged (you have to turn on the notification in the app on your phone), there is no indication that the charging case needs to be recharged. I've taken to charging the case when I charge the ring, but it would be really nice to know when the case needs to be charged. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I’m giving the Pachira Smart Ring as a gift, and I’m already impressed. The black finish with 14k gold inlay looks sleek, modern, and stylish—like fine jewelry not a tech device. I can’t speak on its features completely but it seems perfect I paired it and took it back off just to make sure it worked! Manual is easy to read. Excited to see how it helps with sleep, activity, and overall well-being for my hubby. 10/10 recommend!!! Exactly what I thought it would be! And I tried it on size should fit perfectly! Accurate description of product. Read more
Let me start with the good stuff. I love the fancy box that it comes in, making it a nice candidate for a gift. Secondly, the pairing was easy and done in a flash, just download the free app indicated in the manual. No need to register an account for which it deserves a thumbs up. That said, it requires location to be on at all times which means higher drain on your smartphone's batteries so FYI there. Moving onto the lesser enthusiastic parts. In terms of style, the ring is somewhat tacky and old fashioned. I thought the ring would at least be partially metal based but it seems to be entirely plastic in build. Well, save for the "14K" inlay which I have some reservations for but it's not like I've the scientific tools to state it as a fact so take this particular statement with a grain of salt. In terms of functionality, I mean, it's kind of in line with generic smartwatches that can be had for a fraction of what this thing costs. It also seems to be as accurate which should say a lot or not depending on the user's perspective. Sure, maybe this ring would appeal to you were to to desire to be able to monitor your health and rock your Swiss-made watch at the same time. I get it, but designer brands have come up with such solutions already. So I mean.... Overall, I've given it the middle-of-the-road, 3 star rating as I feel that's where it belongs in terms of functionality. I'd consider it, but only if it were priced around $100 or below. I had high hopes for this smart ring, but its durability let me down. It came packaged in a nice box, which opens sideways to showcase the ring, and features a separate drawer for the instructions. The setup was quick, and the QRing application was easy to set up and use. The ring has Apple Health integration, which is a huge plus for me as I use that application with my Apple Watch as well, but I generally only wear the watch when I run. I have been pleasantly surprised by the battery life, as it will last for a week on a charge, while I can't even get a full-day charge on my watch. I feel this is a much better way to track steps as it's easy to wear 24x7. There are several functions that you can toggle on/off to maximize battery life, depending on what you're looking to get from the watch. The QRing app has tracking for: -Activity : counting steps, distance, & calories - Sleep : tracking time to fall asleep, & duration of each sleep cycle - Heart Rate : monitoring real-time and historical heart rate over time -Sport Record : I haven't really used this feature as I track runs on my watch, but it will track high activity -Heart Rate Data : you can add more detailed histories for your heart rate -Blood Oxygen Levels : huge if you have lung issues. I don't need this, so I turned it off (but a good option) -Stress : monitors your stress levels over time (I turned this off to save battery) Overall, I think this ring has some really great features and is a really great fitness companion for its size. Now for the bad news, one of the gold inlays on my ring broke off during the first week of use. I don't know what happened or where the inlay ended up, I just looked down, and there was only one gold band. The rest of the build-quality on the ring is pretty good, it seems durrable and it's waterproof, but I can't overlook the fact that the ring broke in less than a week of use. It's not like I was even hard on it, I'm not a coal miner or moving rocks, I was just doing normal day-to-day activites and that was enough to break one of the gold inlays off. I should note that my wedding ring has a gold inlay that has lasted for 22 years; this one didn't make it one week. Honestly, the ring would look fine without the inlays, and I'll likely end up prying the remaining inlay off, and it would be hard to tell. Pros: -Long battery life -Apple Health integration -Easy-to-use application -Lots of valuable data -Ring build (aside from the inlays) is good Cons: -Gold inlay didn't last a single week -Charging case is flimsy and gets moved by the weight of the cable -Sizing feels a 1/4 size small, would be nice if there were half sizes If the company can fix the issue with the inlays, I think it's a good product otherwise. I just can't score it well, as I just imagine how bad I would feel if I bought this for somebody else and it fell apart. Read more
