I use a high quality single blade razor and have been trying some higher end shave creams to improve the overall experience. I get ingrown hairs easily and have sensitive skin. I have tried foams, clear gels, oils, etc. This is the winner. No cuts, feels and smells great. Close safe shave. No irritation. A little goes a long way and I also like that it rinses easily off the blade saving time and energy/water. I have sensitive skin and fast growing hair/beard so a close shave is hard to do. Pacific Shaving Company’s products are my favorite. The red labeled shave cream makes a luxurious lather with my SilverTip Beaver brush. My double edged Vikings Blade razor with Astra blades just slides across my face with no irritation as the beard stubble surrenders to the blade. I bought the set from Amazon. When I thought I was getting close to empty on the shaving cream after 3 months (the package makes that hard to judge), I found it at a local grocery for $3.99 (each) on sale. The mint "toothpaste" (I guess it is spearmint) scent took a little getting used to, but the cream face lathers great and quickly, has a nice menthol tingle, is fairly slick yet protective with my DE razor and leaves a comfortable post shave feel. The after shave is less strongly scented and is very soothing. May well become my mainstay shaving cream & lotion. Read more

Okay, when I first bought these items I was hesitant because of every possible reason. I admit to being wrong about it the scent of the shaving cream wakes me right up making me more conscious about how I'm shaving it also leaves no trace of the order after about an hour so you don't need to cover up the aroma with cologne a problem that I have had with other brands. now the aftershave works rapidly also no lasting odor and it leaves me refreshed ready for my day. overall it leaves me happy before or after 12-hour shifts. Excellent shave cream. I love the spearmint scent. The caffeine does help perk me up in the morning. I also really like the after shave balm. I don’t get nicks nor cuts any more, or if I do, I did something wrong. A little goes a long way. Splash a little water on your face before you shave. Put about a pencil eraser size button in your hand. Wipe it on your face. Use a little more water to spread it. This will cover about 2/3 of my face. Another small dollop, a little more water. Lather up. Shave. I clean my face briefly, then immediately apply the after shave balm. Read more

The shaving cream smells like spearmint--but the smell washes away. Kind of reminds me of chewing gum--not sticky though. Very lubricating. Really smooth shave. Aftershave has much less aroma--soothing--not greasy. I did this as a whim. As a point of reference I have shave with everything under the sum--brushes, canned goos, all sorts of snazzy and less snazzy stuff. I really like this product.
