I just got this DVD player, and I'm really impressed so far! Setup was incredibly simple – truly "plug and go." I appreciate that it's so versatile, capable of playing not only standard DVDs but also Blu-rays and even supporting 4K resolution. While I've only had the chance to watch regular DVDs on it so far, I can confirm it works beautifully. The picture quality is great, and everything runs smoothly. I'm looking forward to trying out its Blu-ray and 4K capabilities soon. This Blu-Ray player DOES NOT come with an HDMI cord, you have to buy that separately. I couldn’t find that info anywhere in the listing and Rufus couldn’t be trusted, so I’m leaving this review for anyone else in search of that info. Box inclusions aside, this player seems to work great. Setup was a snap, I went from unboxing to watching Ghostbusters in about ten minutes total. Picture and sound are both crystal clear. But I had to subtract a star because the device only has a power button and an eject button built in, which means if you misplace your remote it becomes a $300 paperweight until a replacement is purchased. Great ultra HD video player works well and picture is crystal clear I have not had any issues since buying it 3 months ago. It is worth noting when you first turn on this player it is slow to startup and respond to your input and to read the disc. This can be fixed if you go to setup select player settings scroll down to system and where it says quick startup you want to switch that from off to on. Once quick startup is turned on the player should startup and read the disc faster and be more responsive to your input. Read more

Simple review. This player did not work. I opened it up and hooked it to my new LGOLED TV. I put in a brand new 4K disc and the screen was completely black. I put in a different 4K disc and the screen was completely pink. I put yet another disc 4K in and this time the screen was green. I tried 12 different 4K discs and this player would not play any of them. I even tried to use multiple different brands of HDMI cables, but in the end, this player would not work no matter what I tried. I am very well-versed in TV and 4K technology so, if I couldn’t get this player to work, nobody can. Very frustrated. Read more

Amazing player, I was going to return several 4k movies because the ps5 was skipping, freezing, ect. I wanted to blame the disc's at first but then decided to try out a warehouse deal, so glad I did, this machine plays everything I own with a perfect flawness experience. I highly recommend this player, I know everyone wants the ub820 including me but this taught me a valuable lesson indeed. So easy to set up right out of the box. Picture, sound are all superior to the ps5. Very nice compact size design will fit perfect into anyone's setup. Complete with remote and batteries. Upscaling all your old dvd s, upscales bluray up to 4k quality, plays any disc you can put in including cd s of any kind. Read more

Bought this 4K player in 2023 for $157 and it still works great. Sure beat Sony and the overpriced junk they're selling that has a high rate of failure! I'm sure glad I don't have to pay the current selling price! Can you say PRICE GOUGING? Read more
