These are carbon zinc batteries, never heard of. Bought grand daughter a clock ( Bak brand ) for college and it takes these kind of batteries. These have a short lifespan, cheaper , better suited for low drain devices. I read you can use a alikeline battery in a carbon zinc clock but they don't recommend it. Some leakage has been noted. just FYI-ing. Read more

Purchased a wall clock for my art studio. Every time I wanted to know what time it was I starred at a blank wall, even though I knew there was no clock. I could tell time on my phone, on my DVD etc. but I was conditioned to look at the clock on the wall. When the clock arrived it didn't take AA alkaline batteries. Oh no! I had to wait another day or two for these AA batteries and they came in a timely manner. Read more
