A Sweet, Decadent, and Juicy Spiced Orange-Creamsicle Perfume
This is a gorgeous and decadent orange gourmand perfume! On the first spray you get a bright and very sweet, juicy, sparkling orange. The spice and sweet notes quickly follow. They smell like a soft cinnamon and caramelized sugar, atop melted butter. The scent is warm and fragrant, just a touch powdery— reminiscent of a buttery pastry. Though Wowie lacks a true “bready” nuance, that’s what immediately comes to mind: a pastry covered with butter, sugar, cinnamon, and a bit of caramel. There’s a smooth and creamy lactonic vanilla that wraps itself around the fragrance. It’s fluffy and milky at the same time. The blend of the vanilla and orange makes the scent smell like a delicious orange creamsicle. Though the orange becomes warmer with wear, it never completely loses the bright juiciness that you get at the beginning. It smells like eating a creamsicle at a bakery that only sells sweets, where the air inside smells like warm vanilla and sugar. This is stunning! I love a good orange note in perfumes, and this is exactly what I wanted. It’s sweet and gourmand, but still airy and fruity— not too dense and rich. The perfume stays pretty linear throughout the wear, which I enjoy as I love the smell. Performance-wise, this is excellent! I’ve worn it several times and get 8+ hours on my skin, and can still smell it gently on my clothing the next day. It has moderate projection. It’s not a room-filler, but people nearby can definitely smell it on you. It has about two hours of arms-length projection before it begins to sit much closer to the skin. Sillage is good. My family members have said they can smell me faintly when I walk by them (after I’ve worn this for several hours) and they can really smell it if I lean in for a hug. I think that this is great for all seasons and times of day, but the creamsicle smell and spices immediately make me think of winter and summer as seasons where this fragrance shines. It’s unisex, but leans feminine and will likely appeal more to women. This quickly became one of my favorite perfumes! Well worth the price, in my opinion. 10/10! Read more
