I’ve purchased a lot of things for my new furry family member over the last week to make her feel comfortable in our home including this bed! She is a 1.5 year old Belgian Malinois that I rescued from a severe dog hoarding, abuse and neglect situation. I also have a Golden Retriever but he does not like dog beds as he overheats easily just due to that being common in the breed, he prefers lounging on his elevated mesh dog bed to stay cool. I had a couple of specific things I wanted that led me to purchasing this one. SIZE. I wanted a 42” bed that would be comfortable for her to sprawl out on when it is out in the living room but also fit snug in her kennel! I checked the measurements and it came in exactly how I expected. ORTHOPEDIC. I wanted a bed that would be comfortable on her joints since she has been dealt a bad hand in life being confined to a kennel for days on end without food, water or bathroom breaks. WASHABLE. Since she is not potty trained yet and I live in an area that gets monsoons which means it gets muddy for several months out of the year, I wanted to be able to easily just pop it in the washer when it needs to be cleaned. BOLSTER. I wanted to get a bed that had a bolster to enhance the comfort for her when laying on it. COLOR. I wanted to get one that was purple! Each pup in my household has been assigned their own color to coordinate their belongings including their records. My dog loves this. I have to clean it though every week because it does get dirty easily, but given the material that doesn’t surprise me it does not smell like urine after my dog has an accident on it so that’s a plus it’s slip resistant so I can if it’s on a white floor, she doesn’t sit there and move around the floor. The quality material is really really good. She loves looks comfortable. She lays on it. Zipper quality is and the thickness is perfect. I could put it in our kennel. I could put it in the living room and she’s not gonna sit there and be pain from her orthopedic injuries. Read more

An absolute nightmare to clean. Our dogs are five years old. They are not messy dogs. They can’t even chew a bone on the bed without the bone getting stuck all over the fabric of the bed. On the left side is the bed that I just washed pulled out the dryer 5 minutes ago, the one on the right side is the unwashed dog bed that was just washed last week. The beds also do not hold up to being washed. Their strings coming out everywhere. Strings getting stuck in the zipper track. We have tried vacuuming the dog beds, but the vacuum roller gets stuck. We have tried a sticky roller to clean off the dog bed and the pieces of hair and bone and such still stick within the fabric. I’ve tried a scrub brush to get the nasty stuff out of the fabric.
