Update 9/14/2025: I’m bumping the review back up to five stars because the company very quickly sent me another set of collar and remote and it arrived today. After charging the collar, I paired it to the remote I had before and it matched instantly. So now I’m back to having a working remote and two collars for my dogs. Thank you PatPet for your customer service! Updated Edit 9/6/2025: Well I spoke too soon about how good the collars are. Of the first set, only one is functioning properly. The second collar won’t pair with the remote no matter what I do, and the collar that came with the new remote to replace the remote I lost will not hold a charge. I did reach out to the company again and they just gave me the same instructions to pair as what’s in the manual. Not helpful and now I only have one functioning collar and two useless ones. Highly recommended looking elsewhere for a replacement… I have the feeling these are not made for longevity. Original post: These collars work very well for my two dogs. One dog is a little more stubborn than the other but both now just respond to the beep or vibration. Occasionally the stubborn dog still needs the shock if she gets fixated on wildlife but the collar is effective to correct her. It’s nice that the level of shock can be adjusted for each dog as the stubborn dog needs a much higher level than the other. I find the collar to quickly charge and it lasts me for a couple days but I don’t have it on them at night. The range is decent even with trees and whatnot between. I did initially have problems with the screw in posts working their way out but the company was quick to send me replacement parts and I just used some removable Loctite and haven’t had a problem with that since. Overall a great e-collar brand that is effective. Edit to add that I lost the remote a couple months after I bought the set so since I couldn’t find a single replacement remote, I reached out to the company they went above and beyond to get me the replacement. 💯% would recommend this company! This is literally the only training collar that worked on my fluffy husky and we tried a bunch out until we found this one! I have had two of these so far (the first one I lost somehow ) but the 2nd I have had two years now and it has worked amazing. I used the shock function maybe twice ever when my dog attempted to escape the fenced in yard as she likes to try and do ! : : Because Huskies are energetic, hardcore parKour artists who can get out of any enclosure, leash, or harness! But now all we do is beep her and she lays down and huffs at me because she knows what can follow the beep - and I love that I can vibrate if she's really being a handful and then she knows I mean business! It worked great for us and the prongs did work through her 17 layers of fluff and undercoat. Unfortunately, I must now order another because lil miss tried to destroy the beep and ripped the collar apart when I took it off her to charge.... Caught red handed.... These are the BEST training collars on the market. I initially purchased one in 2018 and it is still functioning to this day but I had to order a new one because my husband lost the remote. Our 2018 one has seen it all, its been in rivers, creeks, pools, mud, poop, cleaned multiple times and still works like a CHAMP. We literally accidentally dropped the remote in a bonfire and the antenna melted pretty good and it still works like it did the day we got it. We have a GSP who is as stubborn as they come. When this is on, she's an angel. I've only had to use the static feature a handful of times in the 7 years we've had this otherwise the beep or vibrate is enough to get her attention and listen to her command(s). You do not, I repeat, you do not need anything fancier than this, don't waste your time with something that has an app or wi-fi or bluetooth blah blah blah, this is basic, simple, affordable, great battery life and most importantly IT WORKS.
