These rope toys have been great for my two puppies as they start cutting their first teeth. The material has enough texture to be satisfying for chewing without being abrasive or uncomfortable on their gums. If you have a dog or puppy that's not really into chewing, these would be ok. My puppy literally chewed these apart within minutes. It's a complete waste of my time and money. The only reason I didn't give it 1 star is because this would still work for some dogs that aren't really into chewing, but love to play tug of war.
