Price per Kwh King!

I've owned the E1500LFP for a few months now, and have been very happy with it so far. I live in California and our electric company will shut off the power several times a year during fire season. We'll also lose power in the rainy season due to tree branches taking down power lines. I live in a rural wooded area, so I'd estimate we go 1-2 weeks a year without power. That's gotten very annoying as I work from home in IT and need power to work. So I researched a lot of brands for battery storage under $1000 and Pecron seemed to be the best value. It's a no frills brand that focuses on the basics. Which suited me just fine because I don't want to pay extra for frills. The unit is built well, and with 1536Wh was higher than other brands in the same price range. I don't currently have any solar panels, but hope to add some eventually, along with the expansion batteries. Once I have that setup, I should be able to run my entire work from home setup off of the battery during the day, even if there's power outages. There are a few features I would like to see added/improved. First, the mobile app isn't very good. I think this is Pecron's first unit with a compatible mobile app. So I'm glad they have one at all. But you can tell it's new as it doesn't do much. I'm hopeful that they'll improve on it over time. I would love it if they added the ability to schedule when the unit will draw power from the AC outlet. I'm currently using the unit to help lower my electric bill, but charging it from a wall outlet overnight, and then using it to power my networking equipment when electricity is expensive (3pm-12am). I'm currently using a $20 smart outlet to schedule this, and have the Pecron plugged into it. But it would be nice to be able to schedule this on the unit itself. The other issue with the app is the data it collects. Why does it need to know my precise location to function? Or need access to my photos and videos? I would like to see the data collection of the app reduced, as Pecron is based in China and I don't feel comfortable giving the app access to everything the app is asking for. So I don't use the app, and instead point an old security camera I wasn't using at the unit's display so I can check the battery percentage from my phone instead of climbing up to the attic. Here are a few pros and cons on the unit: Pros Price Build Quality Expandable Lots of solar inputs Friendly Customer Support Cons Mobile app lacks features Mobile app collects lots of user data In summary, it's a great unit. If you ignore the app it's a perfect product for my needs. And thankfully, apps can be updated over time. So I am hopeful that Pecron will improve the app it so that it's as great as the battery. UPDATE: 6/5/24 Pecron reached out to me regarding details on the app data collection. Here's what they said: "Regarding the data it collects you mentioned, please allow us to explain the reason for knowing the exact location is that the APP has a built-in Bluetooth connection, which requires location permissions in order to smoothly connect to nearby devices, and if you don't have the permissions, you can't search for nearby devices. If you turn on the sharing function, you need to call the phone camera, so you need camera permissions. The acquired data is only for the normal communication between APP and host, we will not save it. " Read more

Amazing Customer Service

I chose the PECRON E1500LFP because it’s expandable and offers multiple charging options, including solar and PECRON’s dedicated battery charger. That flexibility made it stand out from other units I was considering. I initially had an issue with the battery pack on the first unit. I reached out to PECRON support and Kein was extremely helpful throughout the process. He answered all my questions clearly, followed up consistently, and stayed in communication until everything was resolved. Overall, this has been a solid purchase. The product performs well, and the support experience, especially the clear communication from Kein, made the entire process smooth and reassuring. I appreciate a company that stays engaged with customers after the sale and stands behind its product. Read more

Quality Build & pretty efficient!

When I got this E1500LFP, it sounded like little squirrels inside, because both fans were noisy. I opted to have Pecron send me fans so I could replace them when I got time. Had a trip planned & it worked great & noise was not a problem on this trip. We charged drone batteries all day long & ran a cooler for 2 days at a time. Worked great! Today I took it apart to replace the fans & the video Pecron provided helped a lot! The replacements fans you, almost, cannot hear! This one beats the competition for charge & out put options & support was very responsive & cared about their product & the customer! Read more

Very good power station,but.

I like the pecron LFP1500 charges up fast from the home wall outlet in an hour or so and up to 700 max via solar power/panel. The app is basic to control the power station from your phone. Good for weekend camping trips. My biggest issue is the 6 USB ports, 4 of them are USB-A and all output at 18watts. Of the other two USB-C ports only one of them charge at 100watts the other USB-C charge 18watts the same as the USB-A ports. This is a capable power station and we know the USB-C is able to output higher wattages than USB-A. I would have liked to have seen that in the second USB-C port. Read more

Great customer service

This arrive and worked great for a couple weeks but then stopped charging. I reached out to Pecron and Kein with customer service got back to me right away and arranged a new unit without hassle or fuss. I've bought Pecron products before and stick with them because any issues are dealt with easily and don't require worrying about what happens if something goes wrong. I'll note that it is able to pull slightly more than the 700W from solar advertised (I maxed out around 720) and can put out plenty of power for all the items I plugged into it (I tend to max out around 500W, but it's fairly consistent 400W-500W) while charging. pecron units are undependable as a UPS

The pecron E3600LFP and E1500LFP are both unreliable as a UPS. They both experience spurious "mains voltage abnormal" errors which kills the AC Output (no matter what charge is left) and stop all AC charging. This cannot be corrected until you unplug everything which will shut down the unit. Once you restart, it usually resumes normal operation but my E3600LFP has the error locked in even while unplugged from the wall. This started less than one year after buying the E1500LFP and less than 6 months after buying the E3600LFP. The pictures are from the E3600LFP but the same thing has happened repeatedly on the E1500LFP. Read more

Very loud

Had to return it. Didn't have any cord long enough to run cpap machine, to avoid the loud noise from the fan/motor. Also, no options to control the input of current being used to charge this pecron. It just sucking up all my electricity at max power, increasing my light bill. Only plus, was running my full size fridge for a couple days. It's a beast. Unfortunately, it also sucks a lot of power when sitting idle or while anything is plugged in it for regular use like my Cpap machine. Read more
