I feel like this really is true luxury. It is refreshing and cooling to the eye, reduces puffiness and adds moisture in preparation for concealer application. Okay, so I recently bought this as a gift for my mother, and wow, I'm impressed! The application was super easy and the cooling sensation was instantly relaxing. This is the second pricey eye patch I’ve tried that does absolutely nothing for me. No depuffing, no smoothing — just disappointment with a luxury price tag. Bags are still thriving! What really gets me is the marketing. The models or real people magically have no under-eye bags at all, but there’s never a real before photo (without the patches). Which leads me to believe… the bags were never there to begin with. If it works for someone else, great. I’m brand new to the concept of eye patches. I skipped the super cheapie brands and went straight for the higher end product. (Will try Shiseido next). Definitely wear longer when possible to maximize the effect. I’m now wearing mine over night with amazing brightening results. I started with 25-45 mins first to make sure my skin doesn’t react or get hurt, it felt great, but not enough effect. Then I tried 2-3hrs next. Skin got gently tightened and visibly brighter/bleached. So I started sleeping with eye patches on to absolutely maximize the eye bag healing effect and viola! I feel so much more confident and my purple eye area is visibly reduced. Incredible results! My skin: peachy light and tans easily, very sensitive to chemicals, turns red easily, Russian/Eastern European heritage. I just turned 40, look 30, but purple eye circles haunted me since my teens. It has nothing to do with sleep quality or health, they’re always there even with 10 hrs of sleep. As I’ve aged, my circles became more purple and harder to cover up with glasses. I suspect the skin around my eyes is getting thinner with age. I don’t wear make up as it dulls my peachy, naturally-glowy skin. I tried eye make up on just under the eye to cover up my ‘problem area,’ and that looks awkward without the rest of face having make up.
