My dog loves this chew and keeps coming back to it every day. It holds up really well compared to most toys, doesn’t splinter, and keeps him busy without making a mess. Great option for dogs who love to chew but tend to destroy softer toys quickly. Read more

I've been buying these for a few years now and I hope they never stop making them. They're basically wood that's been chipped up and then compressed. So it seems plastick-y, but is much safer. It's always small, easily passed pieces that come off. One of my boys, a pittie husky mix, was one of 19 puppies and it's frankly shocking that he doesn't have MORE guarding issues. But with high value treats, he does guard pretty badly. But this perfectly skirts the line. He likes it, he chews it, he's fine if his brother comes up and takes it from him. Probably a good idea to toss it when it gets to 2"-3" long, my boys get bored with it once they can't put it between their paws to hold it anyway. It lasts a really long time, like months. Read more

If my Shar Pei could talk, he would give these sticks his stamp of approval. These are his favorite toys by far and he insists of having them stashed strategically throughout the house, ready for him to chew on at a moments notice. Wherever Bruce goes, a stick is sure to follow, he even insists on napping with them. They are great for dogs that love to chew (esp aggressively) on their toys and hold up really well. I recommend getting the large ones for a medium size dog, my 60lb boy has chewed through quite a few of these in 2 years. Warning to pet parents though, if you step on them they do hurt! Read more

Seems to be durable for 2 VERY agressive chewer Boston Terriers. Cricket and Alice are shockingly good at chewing - grateful they pick to do so with thier toys. Trial vs other name brand competitor. PetStages' is a little larger so harder to bite on fir small dogs, but seems to be equally durable. While PetStages proudly states it has real wood fiber and scent (whoch I thought would win)... they prefered the other. Both dogs love to chew on real sticks. But, when the bossy one indicated she was taking over the stick the other dog had, they exchanged, and kept chewing, over and over, back and forth. I mean to say, whatever the prefered stick was at first didnt seem to matter later. These super hard chew toys do make me nervous. One dog broke a tooth last summer on a different brand toy, a very expensive extraction bill, and poor pup's terrible discomfort... but the other did not and has amazing white teeth, all around.... so. My dog absolutely loves the Petstages Dogwood Durable Dog Chew Toy! From the moment I gave it to her, she wouldn’t put it down — she literally carries it around the house like it’s her favorite treasure. It’s the perfect mix of tough and satisfying for chewing, and I love that it doesn’t splinter like real wood. The texture seems to feel really good on her teeth, and it keeps her busy for long stretches of time. She’s a pretty heavy chewer, and this toy has held up surprisingly well — no chunks coming off, just the normal wear you’d expect after lots of use. I also appreciate that it has that subtle wood scent that dogs seem to enjoy without being messy or smelly. Overall, this is easily one of her favorite toys, and I’ll definitely be buying another once this one finally wears out. Highly recommend for anyone with a dog who loves to chew! Read more

Hi. I am dog. I chew many things in my life — couch corners, shoes, mysterious crumbs under the fridge — but NOTHING compares to my Dogwood bone First of all, it looks like a real stick, but it does not explode into sad splinters that make my humans panic. I get all the joy of “I found treasure in the yard!” without the vet lecture. Win-win. Second, it tastes AMAZING. I don’t know what “real wood combined with synthetic materials” means, but I know I will guard this bone with my entire soul. I take it to my bed. I take it outside. I sleep with one paw touching it so nobody steals it. Third, it is TOUGH. I am not a dainty chewer. I am a power-chomp professional. This thing still looks good after weeks of intense attack sessions. If you love your dog even a little bit, buy this. If you love your furniture, buy TWO. 10/10 would abandon all other toys again. 🐶 Read more

Our Cairn Terrier loves these small chew toys. They kept her from chewing on my recliner when she was a puppy. As an adult they keep her occupied at other times. It's a good buy, we got spares just in case. Read more

Unfortunately not very durable. Took my dog about 15 minutes of chewing for it to start falling apart which resulted in him hacking up pieces that fell off. Might work for a non aggressive chewer. Read more
