I purchased these to replace some incandescent bulbs in my kitchen. I already have them in almost every room of my house and they last for years. I'm still using the original Hue bulbs I purchased in 2009. Yes they are more expensive than competitors, but you truly get what you pay for, so to me the additional cost is well worth it. Another great bulb from hue. Vivid colors and great brightness. My wife loved these also. Works like expected. Colors are nice. More pastel colors but these work great for my outdoor lights out back. Signal strength has not been an issue even for the distance one is from the hub and router. Now Hue is NOT CHEAP in PRICE or QUALITY. These will be your higer end lights on the market and the cost reflects that as well as the feel, weight, quality of the Hue lights, pick up any other brand (i have other brands) in your hand and compare.
