This machine is amazing. I do need to upgrade to a bigger model though. For instance, we made store prepared chicken burgers and could only fit two patties at a time, overlapping slightly until they started to cook up. And they cooked up really well. Reminded me more of how they turn out on the grill as opposed to the oven. We have two small children, and enough fries for the four of us takes two batches. I cut up four chicken wings into eight pieces and that was all i could comfortably fit at once in a layer. Three corndogs on sticks was the max i could fit, but they came out so evenly golden as if deep fried. We have been cooking the kids food, then ours in a separate batch. I would love to eliminate a second round of cooking, but we're often eating different things so it sometimes works out. 21 minutes to perfect chicken wings. Seasoned and lightly sprayed with cooking spray and they were far superior to take out wings. Pulling things apart to clean has been a little struggle, and the manual didn't give me much confidence that i was doing it right, but it cleans easily after that. Read more

Incredible product. We bought this as a gift as a combo gift for in laws who had never heard of an Air Fryer. Product received on time and after we opened it immediately washed it down and used it. We made a basket of fries to show them how it works. An off brand of fries was cooked perfectly and with no salt or added ingredients we set them out and they both could not believe how well and down right delicious it was in comparison to traditional oven rack baking. We then tried ring bologna to see if something that simple would cook. In less than 10 minutes perfect ring slices of bologna was completed and it was simply delicious. Something that simple can take on new flavors. But it was how quick and delicious it was done in an attempt to show them how it works. Simple to use, simple to clean and amazing to know the hustle and bustle of cooking can be done in one device so fast.. Phillips is THE BEST device in the market for Air Fryers. Thanks Phillips! I just got it-So I may still be on the learning curve. The first item cooked in it was frozen french fries. The second, breaded (not frozen) shrimp. I followed the directions but both the potatoes and the shrimp were overcooked. Let's just say they were 'really' crunchy. Now for the unit itself, I love it. It's not the gargantuan air fryer I saw at a box store. It fits nicely on my counter. I love the ease of controls. All I have to do is 2 actions-set the temperature and set the time. Easy-Peasy for me.... a chef I am not.. It's a breeze to clean up. It even included a cook book for someone like me with a lack of culinary skills. Read more

This unit works fine as a low-end Airfryer on Philips' line-up. Some of the things I wish worked better are: - If you open the tray while the fryer is working, the fan/heat will still run rather than turning off. - For you to turn the dial to reduce the cook time, it takes a considerable amount of force. Without reading the instruction, you'd think you are doing something wrong. - For a 1/4 lb of thin sliced french fries, it takes a considerable amount of time to make it crispy hot: 15 min. Otherwise, I'm fairly happy with the purchase and the simplicity of this unit's build should add to longevity I hope. In case of any failure, I'll make an update to this review in the future. This is such an easy, amazing air fryer!! It is easy to use right out of the box with even easier cleanup. Everything tastes so much better than trying to heat, cook or reheat. We made fresh Tilapia in it with Cajun seasoning & was actually better than broiling in the oven!!! So many ways to use! Highly recommend. We actually received the shipment a couple days earlier than predicted. Total great experience!! Read more

To clean: I put a squirt of dish soap and fill it with water so it’s sudsy, wait about ten minutes to scrub it then dry it. Just dry upside down overnight and you’re good to go the next day. Just don’t forget to clean it after every use. I made bacon and forgot to wash it, the next time I used it the bacon fat started to smoke and I was horrified. Wash it after every use. As long as you don’t completely fill it up with too much food and clog up places for air to circulate around your food, you’re good. Throw a salmon filet on there, or maybe some chicken breast. It’ll taste a lot better air fried, this magical thing cooks everything and makes it juicy without adding oil. If you don’t care about healthy food, get some frozen jalapeño poppers or mozzarella sticks and air fry it. My personal favorite before I started keto was few days old McDonalds chicken nuggets. They tasted better air fried and a few days old than fresh. I couldn’t believe it either. Read more
